nedim155 says: Feb 19, 2011. 1:18 PM REPLYyou must use a power supply
:(
agis68 says: Feb 4, 2011. 2:59 AM REPLYa must have tool for any programmer....thanx for the project
nedim155 says: Feb 4, 2011. 1:38 PM REPLYno problemo :D
MioTheGreat says: Feb 2, 2011. 3:03 PM REPLYEh. Look. While I applaud the effort, is it really worth it these days?
No offense, but a PICkit2 costs $35, will program many more chips than this will, and doubles as a 3 channel 1MHz logic analyzer/UART transceiver. It alsodoesn't require a serial port, which nothing built past 2005 has, anyway.
Arunabha says: Dec 10, 2010. 3:20 AM REPLYIs this a JDM based programmer? Can I use it to program a pic18F4550?
nedim155 says: Dec 10, 2010. 9:49 AM REPLYyesand yes
jeeshenlee says: Dec 7, 2010. 5:09 AM REPLYcan u plz list which PIC can be programmed by this programmer?? I have already bout all stuff for making it except PIC itself.:P:) ill really appreciate if ullwrite the list:) thanx..^_^
nedim155 says: Dec 7, 2010. 1:11 PM REPLYi programmed the pic 16f84,16f84a...(dont realy now) you can programm nearly evry pic you want with the icsp headersi recomend you to buy the pic16f84 because its easy to use and you can find much projects on the internet
jeeshenlee says: Dec 7, 2010. 8:49 PM REPLYand yes one more thing.. Im gonna use it with USB to DB9 cable.. Does it require any kind of drivers or software for programmers properfunctionality?

nedim155 says: Dec 8, 2010. 7:56 AM REPLYdo you use 15 v power suplyand maybe it wont work with a usb to seial cable(test it on an older pc with a serial port
nedim155 says: Dec 8, 2010. 7:54 AM REPLYi think you connected it rightare you using widows vosta ore 7(because they not work)test the diodes(are they set correctly)on the programmeruse icprog with the driver for xpif nothig worked test it with a other pic

jeeshenlee says: Dec 8, 2010. 10:44 PM REPLYheey strange things... i was sleeping and suddenly an idea blinked on ma mind... this usb to serial cable connectsautomatically to laptops usb coms and its not com1.. and hardware test checking it in com1... in old computersserial port is com 1 (i gues:P:P) i changed usb hubs location from settings to com 1 and little bit change... nowsoftware recognize that something is connected( before it was saying that unable to connect to com 1) buthardware is not responding... then i thought o why do we need this jumpers?? 1and 2 were connected and magreen LED was always on.. i took jumper off LED turned off... and now when i turn on the power green one isblinking like computers HDD lamp and then stops.(the same when i turne programmer off.. it blinks again). andwhen i make a hardware test it blinks... but still hardware is not responding...
does it meen something wrong with ma IC?? and next question why do we need jumper?? 1 and 2 pins areconnected to some stuff but third pin isnt connected anywhere.. is it supposed to be like that??? i feel like we aregonna make this thing work..:):)
jeeshenlee says: Dec 9, 2010. 5:54 AM REPLYi connected to 18V still same..
result of hardware detection process..opening COM1detected-->UnknownDEV ID--> 0x0000
hardware test result...opening Com1checking hardware......Error...no response
nedim155 says: Dec 9, 2010. 8:56 AM REPLYdont use any jumpers maybe it then work
jp 1 iss for the older pics that have no intern oscilator so maybi it then work

jeeshenlee says: Dec 10, 2010. 12:13 AM REPLYheey i just noticed..:S:S:S where the hell is jumper2 on scheme?????????? there is jumper 1 only.. buton component placement we can see both??? how and why??? i dont have jumper 2 on myprogrammer at all..... maybe thats a problem haa???
nedim155 says: Dec 10, 2010. 12:49 AM REPLYyes maybe
nedim155 says: Dec 9, 2010. 8:49 AM REPLYmaybe the software dont includes your picyou should test it with another
