Solo Recital Competition Winner First Prize
Vinaya Roehrl
Vinaya Roehrl is a 15 year old pianist. She studies with Svetlana Gorokhovich and started playing the piano at age 8. Vinaya’s musical achievement include playing four times at Carnegie Hall through Concert Festival and AFAF. She also performed at Baruch Hall and Lincoln Center. Furthermore, she was invited to join the Concert Festival Summer Tour three times in a row in Russia and Portugal with a scholarship. In 2014, Vinaya participated in the “Interharmony” Music Festival in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany, where she also performed with chamber groups. In 2016 Vinaya won Grand Prix Award in Concert Festival Concerto Competition and performed Bach’s Piano
Concerto in D minor with Concert Festival Orchestra. In addition to her passion for the piano, Vinaya figure skates at a regional level and plays the flute.
