All Is Quiet On the Syrian FrontEdited By: Abulhaq

    Dear ******

Few days ago, you expressed it how optimistic you were feeling in case the Arab

League observers arrive at Syria to carry out the Arab Leagues plans, prior to a

pending American intervention there. You foresaw signs for an end to the Syrian

citizens suffering, those who do not belong to the corrupted Asad regime and the

Alawite dynasty ruling over Syria . I did find an excuse for you at that moment ,

being an outsider to this very region. An Arab saying goes this way " Meccans Are

The Best When Negotiating Mecca's Routes", and of course it applies both ways for

us with issues that are domestic to you. Somehow, I find you unaware of what is the

Arab League fir real. The Arab League is just like the United Nations, a with / without

institution , one with plenty of privilege jobs ,for a few bureaucratic and opportunistic

persons , and one without anything to offer for the world, that is burning outside their

    offices gates

Dear American citizen, you who started as a Puerto Rican fellow, and ended as a

citizen of the world , you who view Malcolm X and Martin Luther King as two great

paragons of mind liberalism and American revolution, you who used to applaud the

Iraqi anti aircraft shots, hitting your own air force jet fighters, as they ended up

seeking safe landing in Incirlik air base during 1990 war , despite the tremendous

difference between both armies in technology matters and military dominancy . It

takes more than a man for someone to adopt such a belief , to stand in the face ofwrongdoing ,although that wrongdoing is wrapped up with stars and stripes, so that he

be joining the club of the righteous ones accordingly. It takes more than what an Arab

citizen can imagine to rise above his patriotic belonging, when he sees it bringing him

down to the gutters of doing others wrong. It takes more than a man and more than

philosophers wisdom, for a man to realize that what looks like a descent patriotic

conduct is nothing but sharing the criminals ruling above, in their crimes against

    others.

These days, we are striving to do something like this. We are detaching ourselves

from a gang that had taken over Syria, while some people mistake them for relatives

of us, somehow. We are kicking all ties that seem to unite them with us, no matter

how much their supporters in Teheran have been trying to justify their crimes, to helpthem win it over their own people.

We miss people like you amidst this plight of the Arab countries, we are in need of an

intellectual awakening, and of a position that lend not itself to any self interest, nor

should it hide under an umbrella of hypocrisy and cheap romancing.

And as for the Arab observers that you spoke of lately, I don't take them for anything

more than roaming the streets of Syrian towns as if more tourists who are interested in

shopping from Alhameediya, and other markets too, as well as that apricot wraps and

dried fruits of Syrian brands, to offer it for their families upon returning back home,

with more reports to offer for their headquarter, reports that are titled in the same

manner of Erich Maria Remark, " All Is Quiet On The Western Front ", where the title

is very much irrelevant of those WWI scenes, for it was just the shape of those daily

reports that the fighting regiments used to issue and post, to acknowledge their

headquarters that everything is alright, overlooking tens and hundreds of soldiers

dying in the fiercest manners ,all in silence as daily casualties of war , not to be

remembered or acknowledged for their sacrifices.

So, all will be seemingly quiet on the Syrian front, and let God have mercy on

thousands of Syrian citizens who get killed everyday in total silence, and let God bethere for their families and fellows, and every one that cares for them, of real Muslims

who are mandated to feel this way towards any Muslim fellow . I am talking about

victims of Bashar Alasad, of Syrian citizens who insist on getting their chance of

waking up one day ,to a morning that does not sees the faces of Alasad's criminals

roaming the street and intersections, and monopolizing the TV scenes for the

thousand year of their short lives.

My dear friend, I think that your government ought to amend its historical mistake of

invading Iraq. Your government should intervene in Syria this time, once again, to

topple this pathetic regime that had us (and his people too) sickened of life , through

its disastrous interventions and plots in Iraq and Lebanon. Once you topple thisregime, its shadows will fall down accordingly, whether in southern Lebanon or here

in Iraq, actually it will lead to cutting all those Persian octopus arms off. It could help

Arab countries and peoples to turn a page with the western world , and start a new era,

where every nation is very much aware of what it really acquires, where every nation

knows it well ,what it does lack and miss, and what it can provide for others, without

any sick and arrogant propaganda statements, because the world is already made in a

way that every nation be needing other nations , and every nation has its own role

according to what is available to it, of expertise, resources and scientific advances, as

well as devoted hearts and minds to rule and lead the country. Neither my country,

nor its neighboring countries could ever afford to acquire all that is needed for a

better agriculture, industry, mining, science and arts . It is never there in one country.

Actually I am talking about a new order that is taking shape in this region that had

been hit with this plight of having all those corrupted rulers, whether Arabs or

Iranians, all in one place and for all those decades or centuries passed. Their reigns

caused their people a massive mental mayhem, with those regimes always hiding

behind the Israeli threat, to cover for a greater threat of their own , along with a bunch

of relatives and followers. It is the golden chance for both of us, hoping to start a new

march way off from what G. W. Bush and his criminal gang had committed here in

Iraq & Afghanistan, leaving the real perpetrators making use of his villain and

    reckless atrocities .
