Would you like to have a voice in shaping the direction of the library? Do you simply love the library and like helping out? The Teen Advisory Committee counts as volunteer hours and allows you to vote and plan teen programs, advise us on changes to our teen section and suggest materials to purchase. Teen Book Discussion: The Hate You Give (Grades 7-12) Friday, Dec 1, 4-5 pm An important look at this moment in American history, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas follows Starr Carter, a 16-year-old black high school student who witnesses the murder of her friend Khalil by a white cop. Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, the novel is a #1 New York Times Bestseller and a movie adaptation is underway. Join us to discuss it!
