“All About Me!” Wordle Directions Create a Wordle “Word Cloud” like the one above to introduce yourself to your AVID classmates! 1. Open a word processing document (Pages). 2. Word process a list of words that describe you. Follow the requirements below: You must use at least 30 different words to tell us about you. (You may use more than 30 but not less!) At least 10 words should be adjectives , words that describe you, your personality, your appearance, etc. (silly, athletic, short...) At least 10 words should be nouns (person, place, or thing) that tell us more about you (teacher, friend, mother...). At least 5 words should be verbs related to your interests , what you like to do (read, garden, swim...). The remaining 5 words can be whatever you choose . 3. If you want a word to appear larger, you will type it in more than once. For example, please type your first name in 3 times so that it will be larger than the rest of the text (like I did with AVID above). Please note, your name does NOT count as part of your 30 words! 4. If your have more than one word that you want to appear together, like I did above, put the ~ in between the words. 5. Spell check and proofread your list. 6. Save to your HOME directory.

“All About Me!” Wordle Directions

Create a Wordle “Word Cloud” like the one above to introduce yourself to your AVID classmates!

1. Open a word processing document (Pages).

2. Word process a list of words that describe you. Follow the requirements below:

You must use at least 30 different words to tell us about you. (You may use

7. Go to “Edit” and “Select All” to highlight your list. Go to “Edit” and “Copy” your

word list.

8. Open Safari, go to http://www.wordle.net/ and click “Create.”

9. Paste your list in the box.

10.Proofread one more time. Once you click Go, you may no longer change your text!

11. When you’re sure everything is correct, click “Go.”

12. You may adjust the layout and font.

13. You may change the color of the font, but please leave the background white.

14. Take a screen shot of your word cloud by clicking Shift, Command, 4, and draw

a box around your word cloud. The picture will be saved to your desktop.

15. Call Mrs. Netznik over to save a copy of your Wordle, but do NOT quit Safari

or exit the Wordle website until you’re sure I have a copy!

16. Have fun!! Be creative!!

17. Also, make sure that Mrs. N. takes a picture of you! We will display your

Wordle and your picture together in our classroom and hallway!
