Goals:

•Open, honest and timely communication between school and parents •Open, honest and timely dialogue between parents and Board of Trustees, central office, administrators etc.

•Recognize the skills, talents and competencies each parent and teacher can contribute and match them with the needs at hand

•Use network of business and community contacts to assist school in meeting financial needs

Recent Successes

Membership: 135 in 2007/ approx. 140 in 2008

Increased diversification of 2008/2009 PTO Board - different perspectives add value

Annual school fair: $10,000 in 2007/ $7,800 in 2008

$5,000 grant from Lowe's

Workdays scheduled twice a year: Averaging 20 - 25 parent and teacher volunteers for these events
