Welcome to Orange County Children’s Theatre’s spring production of “Alice in Wonderland.” These talentedactors, actresses, and directors have worked hard and poured countless hours into rehearsing in order to bringthis classic tale to life.

Orange County Children’s Theatre was founded in 1969 with the mission to provide opportunities andinstruction in theater arts to children and families throughout Orange County, but our organization providesso much more. I have seen the results of children who find themselves in unhealthy environments where theirbad choices lead them down paths of self destruction. OCCT is a safe, family friendly environment where allof our children can feel free to express themselves while developing important life skills such as leadership,confidence, and respect for others and oneself.

I would like to thank the administrative board for answering my call to serve this wonderful organization. Iespecially want to recognize the parent volunteers. OCCT could not continue without their hard work anddedication. They are truly the backbone of our organization and a shining example of what volunteerism canachieve.

Grace Lutheran School deserves special recognition from OCCT for the generous use of their facilities and ourshow sponsors are always deserving of a special thank you!

Diane Christensen - DirectorMrs. “C” got her first taste of theater in the seventh grade whenshe co-directed an act for the talent assembly. Since then, herwork has been seen at the Rose Bowl, Knott’s Berry Farm,Anaheim Hilton and various theaters throughout SouthernCalifornia. She has taught commercial and film acting in Burbankand Orange County. She is the director of musicals for EdisonHigh School and has been a member of the Cultural ArtsCommittee for the Huntington Beach LDS Church. She isdelighted to have joined forces with the talents of Julie Matthewsand Clara D’Autilia. Mrs. Christensen thanks producer Sean Sandand the OCCT Board for their support and hard work. Clara D’Autilia - ChoreographerMiss Clara began training at age 3 at Ballet Arts Center. Shecontinued her studies in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, History of Dance,Choreography and Musical Theater for five years in Argentina.college, furthering her dance and musical theater training as aperformer and choreographer in musicals. Years later, sheobtained her Liberal Arts and Fine Arts degrees. Currently she isthe owner / director of Pacific Dance Center and the Co-founderof Coast City Ballet, a non-profit dance company. Clara is a staffmember at Edison High School as Dance Coach, which alsoallowed her to become rehearsal assistant for “Guys & Dolls,”and thereafter musical choreographer for “Seussical”,“Footloose” and “Damn Yankees” at EHS. Miss Clarachoreographed OCCT’s production of “Into the Woods”,

returned for - “Grease” as the Telegrammer Choreographer and is now delighted to return for herthird production with OCCT as Choreographer for “Alice in Wonderland.”

Julie Matthews - Vocal Director

Miss Julie wears different theater hats and enjoys them all. Hermusic director skills began forming at age 5 with piano lessons,which continued into her high school years. During college, shewas the accompanist for two professional vocal teachers, whichled to her accompanying and vocal directing church choirs andmusical reviews. Her vocal experience includes performing leadroles in Wizard of Oz, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Soundof Music and more. Her choreographer history began as a teenwhen she earned a spot on a competition clogging team, whicheventually transitioned to other forms of dance and becoming amember of the top performing group of the US and WorldChampion BYU Ballroom Team. Miss Julie has choreographed allstyles of dance, including a previous production of Cinderella for

OCCT. She states that this theater group has some of the nicest parents and children she has yet tomeet. It has been one of the best experiences in her theater career to work with them.

Lauren Ross - Telegrammer ChoreographerLauren began dancing at age 4, first training in classical ballet. Usingthat as a foundation, she gradually branched into contemporary,modern, jazz, tap, ballroom, latin, and swing dancing. She hasperformed and competed at numerous locations in California suchas Disneyland, California Adventure, The White House in Anaheim,and internationally at the Barcelona Grand Pri. Lauren has also beenperforming in musicals for the past 15 years. Her first role in a musicalwas a Telegrammer in OCCT's production of Cinderella in 2001. Shehas also been cast in several leading roles, her favorites being Laureyand Dream Laurey in Oklahoma, Patty Simcox in Grease, and Glindain Wizard of Oz. Lauren began choreographing for dance and musicaltheater at age 15. Her first work as a high school student was

nominated for a Cappie award for best choreography in Pinnochio. Once she graduated, she beganchoreographing for OCCT and BC Playhouse. Shows included Godspell, The Music Man, Cinderella,Man of La Mancha, and The Sound of Music. She also choreographed individual numbers in theproductions of Oklahoma, Grease, and Joseph...Dreamcoat. Lauren currently dances at AtomicBallroom in Irvive and works as a Behavior Interventionist with a local ABA company. She will graduatefrom CSULB with a B.A. in Education in December and will continue with graduate work in the fieldof special education. She has thoroughly enjoyed working with the telegrammers this show! Theynever cease to amaze me with their talent and joy of performing. Please enjoy the show!

OCCT Membership Levels and Information

General Membership - $25.00 yearly donation. Entitled to one vote at the annual General Membership meeting,we provide accident insurance for cast members, and you will receive all OCCT mailings.

Patron Membership - $100.00 yearly donation. Includes 2 tickets to each production, is entitled to one vote at theannual General Membership meeting and publication of your name in each program that year.

Friends Membership - $175.00 yearly donation. Includes 2 tickets to each production, is entitled to one vote at theannual General Membership meeting, publication of your name in each program that year, and a complimentarybusiness card sized ad in each program that year.

Sponsor Membership - $250.00 yearly donations. Includes 2 tickets to each production, is entitled to one vote atthe annual General Membership meeting, publication of your name in each program that year, and acomplimentary ¼ page ad in each program that year.

Affiliate Membership - $600.00 tri-annual (every 3 years) donation. Includes 2 tickets to each production, isentitled to one vote at the annual General Membership meeting, publication of your name in each program thatyear, a complimentary business card sized ad in each program that year, and a signed cast shirt per show.
