Shelter in Place  Is used primarily for a medical emergency when we do not want onlookers around a situation; weather or chemical related incident. Students are to remain in class during a shelter in place. The school does not have transitions take place during a shelter in place. No need to lock doors during this drill as there is no threat to the campus. Lock downAll students must be in a safe place behind a locked door. Please be sure you are using your locks properly. Please read more about the drill in the Emergency Response Procedures book. Earthquake: Please read more about the drill in the Emergency Response Procedures book and refer to lesson plan. Fire/Evacuation: Please read more about the drill in the Emergency Response Procedures book and refer to lesson plan. If you do not have a evacuation map in your room please let Flo know. At 10:00 AM on Monday I will make an announcement that we are going into drill mode: I will announce each phase of the drill over the intercom 1. Shelter in place ( PA announcement: Shelter in place is now over we are in full lock down) 2. Lock down ( PA announcement: Lock down is now over. We are in earthquake drill (drop, hold and cover). 3. Earthquake Drill ( PA announcement: The Earthquake drill is now over. When the fire alarm rings please evacuate the building and go to the stadium area). 4. FIre Alarm/Evacuation drill. (All clear announcement via team leaders on field)
