Opportunities to Build a Reputation and Credentials

Leadership Potential Develop your own career network through involvement in a variety of ASIS programs. Whether it’s participating in one of more than 200 regional chapters around the world, serving on one of our special interest councils, or simply volunteering your expertise through other activities, ASIS provides a unique opportunity to connect with security professionals at the top of their fields and improve your leadership skills within the industry.

Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Designation Advance your career goals through professional certi-fication. Our CPP designation—admin-istered by ASIS for more than 30 years—is the security industry’s highest recognition of practitioners. The CPP is awarded based upon career experience and passage of an examination that tests broad-based security knowledge

and competency in security management. It is evidence that you are “board certi-fied in security management.”

Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) Designations Seek professional certification in two technical areas through ASIS. The PCI helps employers identify those whose primary responsibility is to conduct inves-tigations. The PSP is awarded to persons whose primary responsibility is to con-duct threat surveys; design integrated security systems that include equipment, procedures, and people; or install, oper-ate, and maintain such systems.

Professional Development and Education Programs

Annual Seminar and Exhibits Join more than 23,000 of your peers from around the world to discover new technology and to learn the latest about security issues, trends, and best prac-tices at the ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits. With 155+ profes-sional development sessions and more than 900 exhibitors, it’s the most com-prehensive networking and educational event in the security industry. And, as always, ASIS members enjoy discount-ed registration.

Annual European Conference Tackle some of the most timely and complex issues facing the global busi-ness community at the ASIS European Conference. This event provides a comprehensive perspective and fresh approaches to the security challenges faced by security practitioners in a global economy.

ASIS Professional Development Secure your continuing education with more than 20 different ASIS classroom programs. From one-day intensive programs focusing on a single topic, to in-depth courses covering all aspects of security management, our classroom programs are tailored to fit your specific professional goals. As an ASIS member, you’ll receive substantial discounts on programs, which often exceed your total annual dues.

ASIS education also goes far beyond the classroom to include an array of offerings that enable you to choose the delivery method that works the best for you—whether self-study, e-learn-ing, Virtual Forums, or university degree partnerships via distance learning.
