taught deaf people. His grandfather was Alexander Bell His wife Mabel Hubbard Bell was

deaf also.

All family was Scottish- born American. All his brothers attended private

schools. Second of there sons. Lost two of his brothers.

Alexander Graham Bell only attended school for 5 years, from the time he was 10 until he was 14, but he never stopped learning.

He invented the telephone in 1876. Poor or Rich? He was poor as a boy

and when he was an adult he became rich with his inventions.

The Telephone was invented on March 10th, 1876, in Boston Massachusetts by

Alexander Graham Bell.

When you talk into a telephone, the microphone inside of the mouthpiece transforms the sound

waves into electric impulses.

These sound waves are sent through the cable to the ear piece of the other

persons receiver which they are listening. This turns the impulses into sounds which

are nearly identical to the sound made by the caller, so from the impulses sent it

sounds like they are standing right next to you.
