INTRODUCTION• The focus of this question is

about the NEGATIVE EFFECTS of Imperialism on EUROPE.

• For ARGUMENT, it will focuses on ADVANTAGE and POSITIVE

EFFECTS of Imperialism in Europe.

• France settled at west of Africa, and hoping to extend its territory (Sudan and the Great

Lakes region).

• Britain, on the other hand, wanted to be able to link up its territory in East Africa to Egypt

and then build a grand railway from the Cape to Cairo.

• This resulting to NEGATIVE ATTITUDE.

Superiority

• Arouse JEALOUSY among the European countries As, Britain extend their territories

and highly profited.

• Germany took advantage to weakened other European countries to be seen as superior. For

example: through Franco-Prussian War.

• War was seen as ELIMINATION of the WEAK races. So, that the STRONG

GENUINE RACE should stand UNCHALLENGED!

• The reason why the European nations were interested in imperialism was because of the economic benefits they brought to develop their own country, for example to increase

their army and further advance their country.• However, colonizing cost a lot of their profits

to instead to invested into development in the territories.

• It is divided into COLONIES and PROTECTORATES.

• They enlarging and extending their empire.

• For example: BRITAIN gain territories in Africa and elsewhere such as Borneo, Malaya, New Guinea and etc.

Advanced civilisation

• Their armament Race were increased. To achieve their aim to be more stronger and

more powerful than their rival.

• For Example: GERMANY and BRITAIN built DREADNAUGHTS.

ECONOMIC EFFECTS

Increase in state revenue

• They extract the Raw material from the new territories.

• They GAIN HUGE PROFITS!

• All their economic Problems recovered.

• More economic investment outlets.

DEVELOPMENT OF NEW INTERVENTIONS

• Modern techniques and more scientific exploration.

• For example: steamships, cars, Railways and etc

SOCIAL EFFECTS

INCREASE IN STANDARD OF LIVING

• Job opportunities.

• As more industries were opened thus more employment available.

• For Example: Italy: as they were over populated, the government allowed the people to migrate and shifted to new area.

• MEDICAL FACILITIES• IMROVEMENT IN MEANS

OF COMMUNICATION• DIVISION OF NEW CLASS

CONCLUSION

• IMPERIALISM WERE NOT JUST RESULTED IN MORE

PROBLEMS IN EUROPE BUT IT ALSO BROUGHT TO BENEFITS

TO THEM.
