Congratulations! As a result of your outstanding audition, you have been selected to participate in a Junior All-State honor group in Yakima. As a member of one of these select groups, there are several steps you must take. Please go over this information very carefully with your parents and teacher, with particular attention to deadlines for registration and payment of fees.
Carefully complete your registration form, obtain all required signatures, and return to your school music teacher immediately.
Payment of all fees must come from, and be processed through your school or district. If you are expected to per-sonally fund part or all of your participation expense, you will need to pay the school, which will then pay WMEA. Many schools assist students with the cost of participation. ASBs, booster clubs, and other local organizations may be willing to help you. Registration and payment must be postmarked by December 2. Fee is $115 for large groups, $145 for Jazz Band. Late registrations will be charged an additional $10 per student. Refund policy: During December after registering, $80 refunded. During January, $55 refunded. During February, no refunds for any reason.
Music will be mailed to your school music teacher beginning the first week of January, although if registration and payment is postmarked by November 20, we hope to mail that music starting December 5.
Note: We will not mail music until all registrations received, and all fees paid by your school/district.
Once your music has arrived, label all loose pages in pencil with your name and school. If you believe you have received the wrong music or parts, contact your school music teacher immediately. Finally–practice, practice, practice.
If a problem arises prior to the weekend of the event, or should you have questions or concerns, our management team is ready to assist.

Students’ parents and teachers are responsible for arranging transportation to and from Yakima.
Lunch will be provided at rehearsal sites for students by WMEA. Students must remain onsite throughout the day.
SCHEDULE
The Baker Band, Rainier Band and the Orchestra will perform at Eisenhower High School. (see address above.)
The Mixed Choir, Treble Choir and Youth Choir will perform at The Capitol Theatre, 19 South Third Street
The concerts are free of charge to parents, family, friends and teachers. You will have an opportunity to purchase commemorative photos, plaques and recordings at your concert. Pre-order forms are included in this packet.

Parents, family, friends and teachers are welcome to observe rehearsals throughout the day except for the closed sound checks which will take place between 12:30 and 4:00 PM. All choirs will be transported from rehearsal sites to their concert venue by WMEA using commercial transportation.

By electing to participate in WMEA Junior All-State, you, your parents and teacher agree that you will not leave rehearsal or other activities between check in and the conclusion of the concert. Doing so will result in your removal from the group.
Dress comfortably for rehearsals during the day. School appropriate clothing is fine.
For your concert, you should bring a pair of dark dress pants (no jeans) and dark shoes and socks. Ladies in the orchestra may wear a dark, long skirt. You will wear your white WMEA Junior All-State t-shirt to give the group a uniform look. T-shirts will be distributed at your rehearsal and are included in your participation fees.
