Introduction

© 2012 Chiron Security Communications

o IRIS AoIP consists of 2 components:1. IRIS Touch or equivalent IRIS AoIP dialler on site2. IRIS Secure Apps in the ARC premises

These components link as a complete Integrated System

Page 4: Alarm over IP Managed Systems & Services versus IRIS AoIP © 2012 Chiron Security Communications

IRIS AoIP is secure

© 2012 Chiron Security Communications

o 4 basic but key elements:1. NON 3rd party managed system2. TCP/IP based3. Highly secured data transmission4. End to end authentication

IRIS AoIP NON 3rd party managed system

o Allows for the use of all types of networkso Allows for the use of all GPRS providerso Allows the ARC:

o Managemento Controlo Ownership

o No 3rd party involvement

IRIS AoIP is TCP/IP based

© 2012 Chiron Security Communications

o TCP cannot conclude a transmission without all data in motion being explicitly acknowledged

o UDP is connectionless. It means that a datagram can be sent at any moment without prior advertising, negotiation or preparation. Just send the datagram and hope the receiver is able to handle it

o UDP is an unreliable protocol. There is absolutely no guarantee that the datagram will be delivered to the destination host

IRIS AoIP end-to-end authentication

© 2012 Chiron Security Communications

o IRIS Touch only “kisses-off” the panel after receiving positive acknowledgement from the ARC premises

o For reliability, security and performance IRIS AoIP will not accept low standards such as:o “Fire and forget”o “Store and forward”
