Manager's Report By Sandra Moravitz [email protected] Recently the community has been deal- ing with 2 stray dogs, which have man- aged to evade the Animal Control Offi- cers for several weeks. One dog is tall & aggressive while the other is short & spirited. They continuously chase the rabbits & have destroyed some down spouts on homes. If you see these dogs or any other stray animals, call the City of Alamo Police department as they dis- patch the Animal Control Officer; who works Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM. Do not approach or walk your pet around these dogs due to their aggression. There have received several reports on sightings of possums & rats. The Secu- rity department does have rodent traps for the community to borrow, but we ask that you do not keep them any longer than 2 weeks so everyone has a chance to use them. When you catch a rodent, call Animal Control as they will come and take trap & all but will return the trap once they have disposed of rodent. The pool restroom outside lights have been repaired, a couple of bulbs went out & one whole unit had to be replaced. There are new dry deck mats in front of the pool restroom & shower to help pre- vent slipping — thank you volunteers for installing them. Remember no glass items at the pool area or in the pool. Dispose of all food items in the trash cans around the clubhouse, not in the restrooms. The City of Alamo has gotten the con- tracted company to remove all the brush & bags from the ACC brush area. We have graded some rock & dirt back into the low lying areas to help eliminate the collection of water in that area. Reflective numbers & number plates have been ordered and will be installed at the RV area to help mark spaces bet- ter. Several of the shed security lights went out & are being replaced. I have several work orders in for repairs to Se- curity lights along Karen alley, North- cutt & Santa Anna Dr. The street lights are taken care of by the City of Alamo and can be called in to the City of Alamo Public Works department. I have hired a new bookkeeper, her name is Diane Bliebdrey. When you're by the office, please take the time to welcome her to ACC. She is originally from New Jersey but has resided in the Valley for the last 25 years. A staff meet- ing was held last month to address safety issues, employee law, the new time clock system and discussion of concerns. I congratulated the staff again this year for their excellent safety record of no injuries. Starting November 1, the event fees in the Pro Shop will be increasing by $1 per person.
