National Atomic Testing Museum to learn about nuclear science, radiological science, and other related technology. Visit the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel that travels 550 feet high, and takes a half an hour to complete a full revolution. While in the city, visit the Pinball Hall of Fame, or take a break from the city, and ski at Mt. Rose. Another top choice for visitors is to view the Titanic Artifact Exhibition that showcases more than 250 artifacts from the Titanic.

New Hampshire“Story Land” and “Santa’s

Village” are some of the Nation’s best amusement parks that can be visited in New Hampshire. Hampton Beach is a popular beach for most, as it provides 18 miles of sand and fun surf. Kancamagus Highway provides some of the best scenery in the fall, covered in red, yellow and orange. You can even fly in a vertical wind tunnel, simulating the feeling of skydiving!

A drive down “Moose Alley” gives many chances of spotting large moose!

New JerseyWhether you’re riding a

bike down the Atlantic City Boardwalk or visiting the Thomas Edison National Historic Park, you are sure to experience something new! This National Historic Park was the mansion of Edison, and has over 29 rooms! Here you can see the labs Edison used, as well as original products he created. Six Flags Great Adventure provides the thrill many tourists are looking for!

The Paterson Great Falls make for a refreshing getaway, and the nearby Museum shares important historical information about this new National Park.

New MexicoCarlsbad Caverns

National Park is home to nearly 120 caves. Experience this natural wonder almost entirely underground! White Sands National Monument is a sight that can be seen no where else. It’s 60 foot high dunes are pure white and are constantly moving due to the wind! Visit Taos Pueblo to see well preserved home structures that have stood for more than 1,000 years.

Petroglyph National Monument works to preserve the sight while educating visitors. These petroglyphs were carved into the rock by early Spanish settlers and indigenous people hundreds of years ago.

New YorkThe Brooklyn Bridge is

a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. You may pay for a tour or sightsee on your own. Many visitors choose to pay their respects to the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives at the 9/11 Memorial. Broadway is another highlight for many tourists, as well as the Empire State Building, Central Park, the Metropolitan Opera House, Grand Central Terminal, as well as many others.

An absolute must-do while in NYC is to visit “Lady Liberty,” or The Statue of Liberty. Make a stop at the famous Ellis Island before returning to the mainland. Visitors can even walk around inside of Lady Liberty’s crown!

North Carolina Experience the thrill of

natural water slides at Sliding Rock. This 60-foot long, flat rock allows visitors to slide down it, into a 7-foot deep pool. Discovery Place is a place for anyone interested in STEM subjects. Elijah Mountain Gem Mine allows visitors to mine gems and gold that can then be brought home. In addition, the Wright Brothers National Monument is a popular destination that marks where the Wright Brothers first airplanes took flight.

Mile High Swinging Bridge is 228 feet long, and sits one mile above sea level. It was originally constructed in 1952, but recently rebuilt in 1999.

North DakotaTheodore Roosevelt

National Park displays history of the area as well as collections related to Roosevelt. Somewhat similarly, visitors can see Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The North Dakota Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center is thought to be the site where the expedition spent the winter of 1804-1805. Here, visitors can see artifacts that related to the expedition.

The National Buffalo Museum is dedicated to keeping the history of Native Americans and the North American Bison alve.

OhioVisit the shoreline of Lake

Erie, as it borders the state of Ohio. Thrill seekers might head to Cedar Point Amusement Park, as it is the largest park in the world. Outdoor enthusiasts may head to Hocking Hills, as the trails lead through caves, forests, and other fascinating rock formations. If you are interested in waterfalls, golf courses, incredible rock formations or rich history, Cuyahoga Valley National Park is not to be missed! Finally, check out famous helmets, shoes, game balls, replica Super Bowl rings and more at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Those even slightly interested in music can’t miss out on visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Here, you can find artifacts such as: Michael Jackson’s Thriller mask, John Lennon’s report cards, Bono’s first guitar as well as many others.

OklahomaGo on a tiger safari

during your time in Oklahoma, or check out the Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve which is home to elk, buffalo, and longhorn cattle. Find the beauty in The Myriad Botanical Gardens, Oklahoma Aquarium, and even Beavers Bend State Resort Park. The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is a tribute to all those affected by the tragedy of the Oklahoma bombing in 1995. All those interested in the Wild West should find themselves at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum for cultural artifacts.

Many Oklahomans have contributed to the field of air and space travel. Visit the Science Museum Oklahoma for a bit of this technology. This is also home to the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame, where you will find sculptures, medals, and other gymnastics equipment.

OregonIn Portland, enjoy delicious

food and trendy book stores. Make sure to head to Cannon Beach to see the famous “Goonies” rock. Further along the coast, Haystack rock provides a plethora of tide pools, and the scenery provides endless beauty. Stop at the Tillamook cheese factory for some tasty treats, raft down the Rogue River, and defy gravity at the “House of Mystery.” Watch the sea lions in sea caves, and pick hundreds of delicious blackberries! From rafting to skiing to hiking to mountain biking to relaxing, Oregon has something for everyone!

Make sure to jump into the deepest lake in the United States, Crater Lake. Come in the winter for beautiful snowy views, or in the summer for pleasant hiking, biking and sightseeing.

PennsylvaniaFor all chocolate lovers,

be sure to visit Hersheypark, which is right next to Hershey’s Chocolate Factory, and includes a theme park. Take a stroll through the Andy Warhol Museum to gaze at the famous pop-art leader’s work. Take a tour of the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center, and visit the battlefield. Avoid paying an entrance fee at the Knoebels Amusement Park, and take a tour of Independence Hall, where the United States constitution was adopted.

Bicycle Heaven is named appropriately for bicycle lovers, and holds over 4,000 collectable bikes. Many are themed, and may be bought or rented.

Rhode IslandExperience the

“Waterfire Providence,” as volunteers sail down the river and light bonfires along the way. Visit the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and walk the Newport Cliffs. Spend the day at one of over 100 beaches in Rhode Island, or admire the Mansions in Newport.

Providence Performing Arts Center is a popular theater for locals and visitors alike. Musicals, theater and concerts are all performed here.

South CarolinaWitness the famed 400

year old, 70 foot tall, 28 foot round Angel Oak Tree on Johns Island for a little relaxation, or attend a USC-Clemson football rivalry game for some serious excitement! Hike Table Rock and Pinnacle Mountain, the tallest mountain in the state, and float down the Congaree River. Have you ever seen fireflies? Head to Congaree National Park for an incredible place to see them!

Myrtle Beach is a well sought-after beach in South Carolina for good reason. With beautiful scenery, great food and long stretches of sand, this beach can’t be beaten!

South DakotaOnly in South Dakota can

you experience a Corn Palace, Badlands National Park, and Spearfish Canyon! Be sure to visit Lewis and Clark Recreation Area for a few days of relaxation and fun! Crazy Horse Memorial is a work in progress, as his wife and seven of their children work to complete the massive sculpture of him. South Dakota is home to the second longest cave in the world, Jewel Cave National Monument, as well as one of the nation’s largest state parks, Custer State Park. Watch out for Bison in the road as you drive through!

TennesseeVisit Graceland, the home

of Elvis Presley. Here you will see artifacts of Elvis’s life, such as clothing, cars, records, and more. Ijams Nature Center is great for hiking, biking, paddle boarding, walking, and more. Experience Beale Street Blues Clubs to learn about the important role they played in blues history. Several museums make up the National Civil Rights Museum and include interactive exhibits which surround the Lorraine Motel, which is where Martin Luther King Jr. was killed.

Hike to Twin Falls to experience the half mile of water flowing from a lush mountain. This waterfall is not natural, but is still beautiful nonetheless.

TexasFloat down a river, eat

delicious burgers, and camp at Enchanted Rock where the stars are big and bright. Jacob’s Well is a great place for those looking for a thrill, and you can’t forget about the Texas barbeque! Make sure to check out Rothko Chapel for a peaceful place to rest, and visit the world’s tallest monument column, the San Jacinto Monument. Celebrate the Day of the Dead in San Antonio, and make sure to stop by Blue Bell for the ice cream, store, and visitors center.

Big Bend National Park is one of the largest National Parks in the nation, and is known for its beauty. While you are there, head to the Santa Elena Canyon and Cattail Falls.

UtahWith FIVE National Parks

in the state of Utah, it’s difficult to find somewhere that isn’t worth of visiting. Be sure to visit Capitol Reef National Park, where it looks as though a tropical reef has been landlocked. Also, be sure you have time for Canyonlands National Park, Dinosaur National Park where you can see realistic reconstructions of dinosaur fossils found here, Monument Valley, and of course, Bryce Canyon National Park.

Arches National Park is one of the most recognizable National Parks, and is well worth spending time there! If you’re interested in a landscape that appears similar to that of Mars, give Arches National Park a visit!

Climb up to the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center in Seattle for the tallest observation deck like it in the Northwest. Catch a fish and buy a beautiful bouquet of flowers in Pike Place Market, and reach the top of the Space Needle. For a dose of freshness, visit Pelindaba Lavender Farm on San Juan Island, near where you can also experience whale watching in and around San Juan Island.

The Columbia River Gorge is one of true beauty. Visitors can hike, bike, fish, ride horses, boat, and participate in any other water sports here!

West VirginiaVisit the Exhibition Coal

Mine, where you will experience an underground mine, coal camp, museum, and gift shop. The Lost World Caverns is one you have to see to believe, 120 feet below the earth’s surface. Grand Vue Park allows for ziplining, bungee trampolines, rappelling, freefall drop zones, and a 28 foot rock wall. Snowshoe Mountain is a wonderful place to visit in the winter, with all kinds of activities available.

Twin Falls State Resort Park is home to many of West Virginia’s beautiful waterfalls. Hike in and leave nothing behind but your footprints in the dirt!

WisconsinHome to state parks and

water parks, the Wisconsin Dells is a great place for the whole family to enjoy! Watch the Min-Aqua Bats ski team at lake Minocqua, and cheer at the Lumberjack Show. Visit the AirVenture Museum year round to see more than 250 historic airplanes, or experience the world’s largest freshwater lake and take a ferry to Madeline Island.
