Introduction.

The aim of this booklet is to introduce the reader to the topic from the Qur’an. It can be studied on its on its own and it also complements the video lecture of the same topic which accompanies it.

The booklet contains ayaat (Qura’nic verses) pertaining to the topic as discussed in the video lecture in a question and answer format.Questions are raised, and their answers are given by the ayaat.

The ordering and numbering of the ayaat corresponds with those on the lecture which can be downloaded from the video lectures section of IIPC website: www.iipc.tv

The Qura’nic references provided herein are not exhaustive but offer the core essence of the subject. The references that have been excluded in this publication can be researched using any good concordance and it will be discovered that the selection introduced in this publication will harmonize the entire sequence.

It is hoped that Muslim readers willmemorize these ayaat along with their Arabic text and engage in Da’wah (propagation of Islam) to their friends and colleagues, and also be able to recite the same in their Salah (prayer).

In this manner, the booklet becomesa useful tool for everyday Muslimpractice - Insha’Allah.

When Ibraheem (p.b.u.h) set his face to Allah then in surah Al-Baqara 2:144 Allah pointed him the Qiblah / direction of belief that is to revert to the intersection of the sacred mosque.

37.“Our Lord surely I have settled from my offsprings within the valley other than that it is without cultivation near your sacred / forbidden house, O’ Our Lord, so that they establish salah / prayer. Then make the hearts of the people desirable towards them and give them sustenance from the fruitsso that they may be thankful.”

In the era of prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h)and today Allah tells us that in the house are clear signs, the standing position of Ibraheem (p.b.u.h).

97.In it are clear ayats / signs, the standing position of Ibraheem whosoever enters it become secureand for Allah is Hajj / pilgrimage of the house over the people, whosoever has the capabilitytowards its way and whosoever rejects, then surely Allah is not needful from the worlds.

And when We made the house a place of reward and security for people and you take the place of salah / prayer from the standing of Ibraheem. And We covenanted towards Ibraheem and Ismaeel that they purify My house for those who go around and use as retreat and who bow, prostrate.

To raise the foundation from the house as Ibraheem (p.b.u.h) and Ismail (p.b.u.h) did it and to pray that Allah may accept from us.

From whatever concept you come revert yourselves to the intersection, of the sacred mosque and establish salah / prayer so there may be no ground of dispute.

150.And from wherever you come out, (i.e. from any faith)so revert yourself to the intersection / portion / half of the sacred mosque (your qiblah / direction of belief) and wherever you are, so revert yourselves to its intersection / portion / half that there would be no dispute over you from the people, except those who are oppressors from them so fear them not but fear Me and that I may complete My favours on you and that you may be guided.

87.And We inspired to Moosa / Moses and his brother that you point out houses for your people in Egypt and make your houses a qiblah / direction of belief (an intersection / half of the sacred mosque) and establish prayer and give good news to the believers.

29.Say my Lord has ordered with justice and that you establish your faces (in salah / prayer) near every mosque and call Him, making the judgmentexclusively for Him.As He originated you,so you will return.

All houses of muslims in Egypt and the mosques of the world has the same qiblah (an intersection of the sacred mosque)and salah / prayer is established by them in all eras.

143.Likewise, We made youa balanced nation,so that you be a witnesses over people,and the messenger be a witnessover you.And We did not made the qiblah / direction of beliefyou were over itexcept that We know those whofollowed the messenger from thosewho would turn over their heels.And it is definitely great except over those whom Allah guides.And Allah will not make your belief so that it is wasted.Surely Allah is Kind, Merciful with people.

1- This reversion is a test from Allah who would follow the messenger from those who would turn back on their heels.

145.And even if you were to bring to those who are given the Bookwith all the signs / ayatsthey will not followyour qiblah / direction of beliefand nor you will follow their qiblah / direction of beliefand some of them will not follow the qibla / direction of belief of some. And if you were to follow their desires from after the knowledge has come to you,surely you would be from the oppressors.
