Our FS2 Online Learning Pathway

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to this week’s Distance Learning Programme FS2 online learning - this week - Sunday 7th June

All students, in FS2 should be able to access their learning tasks for this week (7th – 11th June) from this path. The paths will continue to be published on the website, every Thursday, detailing the next week of learning. Please try to share your learning with class teachers who are available, by email, between 8am – 3pm, to support you with your tasks and activities. Please note that any emails sent after 3pm will be answered by class teachers the following day. Students will also continue to have the opportunity for a ‘live’ teaching session with their class teacher using the ‘Google Meets’. Google Meet Sessions

Weekly learning overview

This week, we are continuing with our topic of Long, Long Ago and focusing on dinosaurs. We will be asking the children to undertake a dinosaur fossil experiment! In Phonics, we will be recapping all our sounds learnt to date and learning two new trigraphs, which is a sound that is made up of three letters but makes just one sound; these are air and ure this week. We will ask the children to both read and write words containing these sounds. In Literacy, we are continuing with our story of Tyrannosaurus Drip and will ask the children to further their knowledge of the book by sequencing parts of the story. This week in maths we are learning to read, write and count numbers 11-20. Look out for our Thrilling Thursday challenge this week where we ask you to become bakers!
