This is the story of a special person to me. My mother…

She was born in Valladolid Yucatán in 1930. Her birthday is on December 12th.

Her name is Guadalupe. When she was a child, she used to go to the school,

however; over the years she had more siblings (eleven in total).

Her parents were primary school teachers, They used to work from Monday to Friday and they were not at home most of the time. So, they took the decision that their oldest daughter had to take care of them. My mother was 9 years old when this happened.

My mother had to give up to the school and she didn't come back again.

She had to do household responsibilities.

My mother used to cook everyday for her siblings. She did it for many years until she got married with my father.

At the beginning, She lived a very difficult relationship with him. Over the years, this relationship was improved and she started having babies.

She had 16 children including me.

She lived very difficult experiences.

When she was forty, she asked by herself:

Why didn't I go to school? Why to school I didn´t go?

Why didn't I have a career? Why career I didn´t have?

Can I study?

Immediately, she thought about the situation she lived at her home.

After all these experiences, she decided to study beauty cultist for three years.

Her graduation was in may of 1973.

After that, my mother had her own beauty parlour and she worked as a beauty cultist for many years. Now, she is 85 years old and she is in a good health!!
