NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS SAFETY, BEHAVIOR and LIABILITY The safety of the dog is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of these sports, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create an unnecessary disturbance or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the trial committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. The ROCKY MOUNTAIN ALL TERRIER CLUB and its agents, employees, etc., will assume no responsibilities for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. The ROCKY MOUNTAIN ALL TERRIER CLUB reserves the right to decline entries for cause and may remove any dog on account of aggression. No one shall have any recourse or claim against the ROCKY MOUNTAIN ALL TERRIER CLUB or any official thereof. ROCKY MOUNTAIN ALL TERRIER CLUB reserves the right to remove any animal in distress from a parked vehicle or crate, in any manner necessary. The Club will solely determine if said animal is in distress. All persons attending these trials hereby wave any claim for damages against the club for such removal. All dogs must be on leash at all times when on trial grounds except when in the designated warm-up area or competing on the course. All regulations governing the use of this facility, and all regulations and decisions of the trial committee at this trial will be strictly enforced, including and not limited to the recorded information of this premium list. Puppies under 4 months of age are prohibited at AKC Trials. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event.

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY This trial is open to all TERRIERS fifteen (15) months of age and older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number (in trials offering mixed breed entries), or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds are eligible to participate. Dogs with a Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number (in trials allowing mixed breed entries) must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Wherever the word “dog” is used in these regulations it includes both sexes. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate.

RINGSIDE

Dogs may arrive any time prior to judging. All dogs not needed for further judging will be excused.

Judges are not required to wait for dogs. The Owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when it is to be judged. The Club has no responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Exhibitors may bring their own chairs, but due to space constraints, seating may be restricted.

REFUNDS

No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. No entry fee will be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by the action of the Event Committee.

Bitches in season are not permitted to compete in AKC Agility Trials. The Club will issue a refund for the trial entries, less a $10.00/ entered day processing fee.

Chapter 1, Section 9 of the Regulations for Agility Trials, http://images.akc.org/pdf/rulebooks/REAGIL.pdf, states, “Females in season must be fully refunded if withdrawn by the Trial Secretary after closing and no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class of the day of the trial. The club may retain a processing fee and must publish this information in the premium (no fee is paid to the American Kennel Club for females in season who are withdrawn).”

CRATING and SEATING Crating areas will be available at the show grounds but space is not guaranteed. Exhibitors will be required to lay a waterproof tarp or mat under their crating space to minimize spills, food particles, and dog hair getting into the turf. If these conditions are not met, or if a set up is taking space from other competitor’s ability to set up, the Show Site Committee reserves the right to alter crating arrangements for space, safety or site requirements. Seating is allowed on the field. Exhibitors are responsible for the conditions in and around their space. No dogs will be permitted to stay overnight at the show site. A reserved crating area will be provided for trial workers. X-pens allowed for 2 or more dogs per pen.

PARKING

Exhibitors are governed by any rules or regulations of civil authorities and building and parking regulations. Vehicles parked contrary to regulations will be subject to towing at owner’s expense. PLEASE NOTE: A limited number of handicap spaces are available. They will be available on a first-come basis. A valid handicap plate must be on each vehicle using these spaces.

Club officials may require that vehicles or equipment be rearranged to accommodate additional vehicles. Area around vehicles MUST be kept clean at all times. All vehicles will be parked at owner’s risk. Foothills Arena at Schaefer Athletic Complex and Rocky Mountain All Terrier Club will not be responsible for loss by burglary, fire, or any other cause whatsoever to the vehicle or its contents.

Please Lend Us A Hand!

Every trial’s success is based on those who can lend a hand. We’d love to have your help!

RMATC will be using self sign up via Google.docs for worker sign up. Watch for details to come.

Entry move-up valid only if the dog was already entered in the Event indicated and only if approved by the Trial Secretary. Dogs moved up will run at the end of the class running order.

Effective February 1, 2017

Regulations for Agility Trials: Chapter 1, Section 21. Change of Entry. In addition to Move-ups as described in Chapter 1, Section 20 entries may also be changed as noted in

this section. A dog which has been entered in a Novice “A” class for which it is not eligible to be entered in due to class restrictions on the dog or handler may be moved to the Novice “B” class under the following conditions:

The request for the move must be in writing and presented to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. The request must state the reason and justification for the move from a Novice “A” class to the Novice “B” class.

After the close of entries a dog may be moved down in their class level (i.e., Master to Excellent). The request for the move to the class for which the dog is eligible must be in writing and submitted to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial.

If a VMO or Field Representative at a trial measures a dog into a height other than what they entered, the entry may be changed from Regular to Preferred or from Preferred to Regular, as long as the dog has not run any classes that day. If the dog has already run, the change may be made for the next trial day(s). The exhibitor must provide the Trial Secretary the AKC Agility Measurement Form when requesting the class change.

HEIGHT DIVISIONS Effective January 1, 2010, exhibitors are no longer required to provide proof to Trial Secretaries that their dog has a valid jump height card as part of the check-in process. Furthermore, this change eliminates the need for a copy of the jump height card to be submitted with an entry form. Dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form may still compete; but they must be measured/wicketed by the Judge of Record PRIOR to running in their class and this measurement will be valid for that weekend of trials only. The exception to this requirement is a dog entered in the 24” or 26” height division. However, if a Volunteer Measuring Official (VMO) or an Agility Field Rep is present; ALL dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form must be measured at some time during the trial or cluster of trials. This does not preclude having the dog wicketed by the Judge of Record if the VMO or Rep is not available to measure the dog before its first run of the trial or cluster of trials. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to have their dog measured prior to running and failure to do so will result in the cancellation of any qualifying scores. Are You Entered In The Right Height?

PREFERRED Height at Withers Handlers may opt to run their dog in a higher height division.

Handlers must run their dog in their proper eligible height.

Owners are responsible for entering their dog in the proper height division.

8” 4” For dogs 11 inches and under at the withers

12” 8” For dogs 14 inches and under at the withers 16” 12” For dogs 18 inches and under at the withers

20” 16” For dogs 22 inches and under at the withers

24” 20” For dogs over 22 inches at the withers. Regular Dogs may not be entered in this height if they are 22 inches and under.

24C” n/a Dogs may be entered at this height at their owner’s discretion if their measurement is 22 inches and under at the withers. Dogs who measure into the 24” regular jump height division may not enter 24-choice.

• All Measurements Are Effective Immediately Exception: Challenge Measurements to Permanent Jump Height Become Effective when Challenge Measurement Process is Complete (see Regulations) • Dogs Entered in Preferred Classes Must Run in measured Height Division Must be moved up or down to proper height

• Are You Entered in The Right Height? The Responsibility Is Yours.

AWARDS Placement Rosettes will be awarded for the first through fourth place in each height division of each class for Standard Agility Classes and Jumpers with Weaves classes.

INSTRUCTIONS

Handlers whose dogs measure into the 8” through 20” regular jump height divisions may opt to enter in a higher or 24-choice height division for all Regular titling classes, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Dogs who measure into the 24” regular jump height division may not enter 24-choice. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division.

All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor’s responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running.

Dogs listed in the AKC Canine Partners ProgramSM may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club’s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box.

Junior Handlers should enter their Junior Handler Number on the front of this form. Should you not have your Ju-nior Handler number, it may be obtained from the American Kennel Club (919) 233-9767. If the Junior Handler is not the owner of the dog identified on the face of this form, what is the relationship of the Junior Handler to the Owner?
