GRAND OPENING CEREMONY MALAYSIA 18TH JUNE, 2014 World Scout Bureau Office has been
shifted from Geneva to Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia. The Grand Opening
Ceremony was held on 18th June, 2014.
The honourable Dato Sri Mohd Najib
bin Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of
Malaysia was the Chief Guest while
Chief Commissioners and Guests from
all over the World were invited on this
very special occasion. Mr. Abdul Karim
Baloch, Chief Commissioner, PBSA
represented Pakistan on the invitation
extended by Mr. Simon Hong Bak Rhee
Chairman World Scout Committee , Mr.
Scott Teare, Secretary General and
Dato, Seri Paduka Dr. Haji Shafie Bin

The objective of the Forum was to bring
youth of Pakistan at one platform to
play a constructive role in the society.
The Forum also provided an
opportunity to the Scouts to meet with
non scouts youth and work together as
Messengers of Peace.
Mr. Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui,
Commissioner Karachi was the Chief
Guest in the Opening Ceremony.

In a response to National Headquarters,
PBSA extended invitation to all

FATA and Pak. Railways participated.
JAMBOREE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING 2nd SAANSO & 14th National Scout
Jamboree Finance Committee meeting
was convened at PHQ on 17th June,
2014. Committee comprises of the

DEPUTY CHIEF COMMISSIONER, PBSA VISITED SUMMER TRAINING CENTRE GHORA GALI, MURREE HILLS Sahibzada Sajjad Masood Chishti,
Deputy Chief Commissioner, PBSA
visited Summer Training Centre Ghora
Gali Murree Hills in the last week of
June, 2014, he inspected the camps and
addressed the youth.
He was welcomed by Mr. Zameer ul
Islam Bukhari, Camp Commandant and
Mr. Adil Farooq, Circuit Organizer,
Punjab BSA alongwith other scouters.
HAJJ SERVICES - 2014 In continuation to regular services of
scouts in the local Haji Camps in the
Pakistan, about 441 Scout Khuddam will
serve in the local Haji Camps all over
Pakistan. 8 scouts from AJK has started
services in the Ministry of Religious
Affairs - Islamabad from June, 2014.
Scout will serve in the Haji Camps of
Islamabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan,
Quetta, Sukkar, Peshawar, Lahore,
Faisalabad and Sialkot.
SCOUT LEADER COURSE OF PAK. RAILWAYS HELD FROM 15-21 JUNE, 2014 Scout Leader Course of Pak. Railways BSA
was held at National Training Centre
Jungle Mangal Batrasi from 15-21 June,
2014. Mr. Shabbir Hussain was the
Course Leader. Mr. Abdul Mannan, APC
Pak. Railways BSA also supported the
Training Team for conducting the Course
in a befitting manner. 25 Scout Leaders
attended the Course.
FRIENDSHIP FOR EVER Mr. Munir Ahmed Bhullar National
Commissioner Integration & Coordination,
PBSA has launched Friendship Card with
the title “Friendship for Ever” at Summer
Training Centre Ghora Gali Murree Hills
on 11 June, 2014. Purpose of this activity
was to involve and motivate young people
in National Integration through Friendship
on the platform of Scouting. Scouts from
FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, Punjab, Sindh, PIA

SCOUT LEADER COURSE FOR FEMALE ORGANIZED BY SINDH BSA FROM 16-22 JUNE, 2014
Scout Leader Course for Female Scout
Leaders of Sindh BSA was held from 16-
22 June, 2014. Ms. Zafar Sultana was
the Course Leader. She was assisted by
Ms. Anees, Mr. Abdul Hayee and other
Scout Leaders. 36 Female Scout Leaders
attended the Course. Syed Abid Ali
shah, APC Sindh BSA and Mr. Zahid
Mahboob, Acting Secretary, PBSA also
addressed the trainees.
SCOUT WOOD BADGE TRAINING COURSE OF PIA BSA FROM 20-27 JUNE, 2014
PIA Boy Scouts Association organized
Scouts wood Badge Training Course at its
Scouts Training Centre Gulistan-e-Johar
Karachi from 20th to 27th June, 2014. Mr.
Khalid Mahmood (LT) APC Training &
Programme was the Course Leader. Mr.
Muhammad Nasir Khan (LT) Secretary
T&P was Course Secretary and Khalid
Mahmood Sheikh (ALT) ADC T&P was the
Dy. Course Leader. Course Team was
consisted of Mr. Shahid Pervez, Mr. Zafar
Iqbal and Mr. Zafar Bangash Wood
Badgers. Course was inaugurated by the
Course Leader. All sessions were
delivered as per National Training Policy.

Facilitators. Mr. Abdul Karim Baloch,
Chief Commissioner, PBSA also visited
the Course and appreciated the efforts of
PIA BSA. Mr. Anwar Ahmed Zai, Dy. Chief
Commissioner, PBSA was the Chief Guest
of the Closing Ceremony on 27th June,
2014. He distributed the certificates and
recognized the leadership of the Scout
Leaders of PIA BSA.
SCOUT ACTIVITIES AT AL-FALAH PROJECT, KARACHI.
Scout Activities at Al-Falah Project
Karachi were organized by Private
Institutions, District Boy Scouts of Sindh.
Qirat and Naat competitions were held.
Tent pitching and other scout activities
were also organized at Al-Falah Project,
Karachi, a subsidiary of PBSA.
HELP – INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS After the operation Zarb-e-Azb against
militants in the North Waziristan Agency,
thousands of tribe’s people have been
displaced from North Wazirsitan and
other areas of the Country.
Scouts of FATA are in contact with local
administration in the relief work.
Provincial Headquarters Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa Boy Scouts also issued
instructions to the District Scouts of
D.I.Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Bannu,
Kohat, Hangu & Karak for relief work in
close coordination with the local
administration.
Employees of Pakistan Boy Scouts
Association has also voluntarily donated
one day gross salary and equal share was
also contributed by the PBSA in the Prime
Minster Relief Fund for IDPs 2014.

by Matta Scout Open Group on 26 June,
2014. The Rally passed through Matta

Mr. Jaffar Kazim, one of the senior most
Scout Leader and 1st Commissioner PR,
PBSA was born on 15th August, 1942 at
Saharan Pur UP India. He joined Scout
Movement as Cub Scout in 1953 and
continuously served Scout Movement.
He served in different volunteer
positions as Publicity Secretary,
Assistant Commissioner PR, Secretary
Pak Hyderi Scouts Group, Public
Relation Officer Karachi Division Sindh
and Commissioner PR, PBSA from 1972 –
2000.
He also served several National
Committees constituted by the National
Council, PBSA e.g. Al-Falah Scout Project
Karachi, Scout Literature Policy
organization and Rules. As a Scout
Leader he served in Saudia as Khuddam
ul Hujjaj and also participated in the
International events in Japan, Malaysia,
Maldives, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Mr. Jaffar attended almost all the
National Camporees, Jamborees
Conferences, Rover Moots, Integration
tours, Training Conferences etc.
In recognition of his services he was
bestowed with the following awards
from the President / Chief Scout,
Pakistan:
- Certificate of Merit - Medal of Merit
- Long Services Decoration
- Silver palm
- Bar to the Silver Palm Mr. Jaffar has recently inaugurated the
Scout Shop at Amin House Karachi and
attended National Youth Forum in June,
2014.
