In our country, with the spread of natural gas,cities where natural gas is being used,air pollution level decreases rapidly and the cities have become cleaner and liveable places.

AIR POLLUTION in KARAMAN

Being a food sector investment center in recent years especially pulses and biscuits, Karaman encounters air pollution problem.

Main source of air pollution in Karaman is heating. In our province;the greater use of solid fuels especially for the supply of heating energy becaause of the socio-economic conditions, the rapid increase in the number of motor vehicles with the development of industry and with the effect of the bad meteorological conditions that happened from time to time we need to take neccessary measures against air pollution.

Karaman Governor Environment and Urbanization Provincial Directorate, according to the study relating to the protection of air quality during the winter of 2011-2012 by the Local Environment, it seems that limit values were exceeded during the winter of 2011-2012 in the city center.

WHAT MEASURES CAN BE TAKEN

TO PREVENT AIR POLLUTION?

We should expand clean and renewable energy sources such as sun,water,wind and natural gas.

Use Filter to the Industrial Facilities Chimneys

We had better use high-calorie coal to heat homes. We should always care for central heating and gas boilers.

We should give attention to windows, doors and roof insulation.

We had better use public transportation.
