The scholarship is intended to support young professionals who have demonstrated leadership and management potential within their organizations.

Scholarship funds cover tuition, lodging, and up to $500 in travel expenses for two (2) first-year students at the NRPA Directors School at Oglebay Resort and Conference Center in Wheeling, WV. The two-year Directors School program is designed to prepare new and potential directors for the challenges of leading and managing effectively.

To apply for the Pottsie, complete an application form, attach the required support materials, and send to foundation@aapra.org no later than June 1, 2017.

Resume (not to exceed three pages);•

Essay describing how attending the NRPA Directors School will help you achieve your professional development goals. Prepare essay in 12 point Arial font (length not to exceed 500 words).

If selected as a 2017 scholarship recipient, you agree to provide an evaluation report by email to foundation@aapra.org no later than September 24, 2017 to include:

• What you gained from participation in the Directors School;• Your suggestions for improvement of the scholarship application process; and

Completed applications must be received no later than June 1, 2017 at foundation@aapra.org. Questions may also be directed to this address.
