Citizen Observatory Web - COBWEB

Where we are in the project…
• Month 25 of 48• November 2014: Milestone 3:
– First Welsh demonstrator completed and ready for testing in the field
– COBWEB Platform Release - Intermediate Version• 2015:
– Validation and field testing of our concept– 7 Citizen Groups lined up in UNESCO designated
Biosphere Reserve in Wales to assist with testing and participate in co-design
COBWEB Platform
Relevance to GEOSS
• Data will be available via OGC Web Services• Discoverable via CSW
– COBWEB version of GeoNetwork• Authentication and Single Sign On being achieved via
an Access Management Federation– Piloted in AIP-6– Core component of COBWEB platform– Will be built on in the future
