The session will provide an opportunity for economies to discuss steps that have been taken as well as remaining gaps.

Explain: I am engaged in Japanese veterinary antimicrobial resistance monitoring
system, in animal sector. There is national committee on AMR in my economy and our policy. This is very important because we learned about experience of advanced
economies in this topic. Beside experts give us tools to implement the national plan of AMR.
It is relate with my business, about institution infection disease control. This is part of our global commitment to stop the spread and emerge AMR. Strengthen strategies for AMR through of the national plan with your five
objectives. I received actual information to implement, the national plan against AMR in my
economy. These topics help to understand the AMR situation worldwide. We faced the same problem in Chinese Taipei to against the AMR issue and
also need to find out the proper solutions to resolve the issues. I am an ID physician all the time focus on AMR and Antimicrobials in Chinese
Taipei. In Chinese Taipei, the CDC and NHRI work on TNIS and TSAR for decades. APEC, AMR symposium, 2018 (Taipei) make the connect with WHO project of GLASS (2015)
AMR is a very important problem and need to be tackled for every APEC economies.
AMR is a problem very relevant to all. We face a serious problem of AMR. This is a threat across many economies and the effect is not limited to within
borders of a specific economy. Good opportunity to learn of the strategies employed by other economies Antimicrobial resistance is one of priority issues globally. Every economy has
started to focus on this issue. Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). Resistance is an important issue worldwide. The related mortality and morbidity
have great impact on our economy.
2. In your view what were the project’s result/achievements? I gained knowledge about approaches for AMR in human sector. Learning international experience about AMR. Exchange/ share the management of AMR in each economy.
How to control AMR. To share experience and get skills to implement surveillance in my economy. We still have a lot of challenge, but we must to find the opportunity, through
combined the activity with other department (ex: epidemiologist and public health sector)
It is very important to control AMR. This project provide a platform on sharing strategies, and experience with the
aim in combating AMR. Excellent. International collaboration. Build a whole ASIA APEC network for AMR. Best practices shared and speakers were generous in answering questions. Global alignment together with AMR issue. Know the experience of implementation plans on AMR in Asia economies. Increase our understanding of the different approaches. Knowledge about AMR management, situation in APEC economics. Infection control and effective antimicrobial stewardship program. It were very important to share experience with another economies. The most success is gathering knowledgeable speakers. Great and successful. The project provide a platform for all participants. The project has achieved the concept of “one health” that multisector has taken
participate in this event. It has introduces the latest development on AMR issues. This project has share the experience of AMR control. Introduce various economies’ ASP policies. Share all information including speaker’s presentation to all participants. Sharing the AMR action plans and AMR surveillance experiences by APEC
economies. The projects had improves our knowledge of AMR, and improved the exchange
experience within different partners. Sharing of member economies’ methods of and success in AMR control. Recent AMR information in different economies. I learned more information about how to fight antimicrobial resistance in different
economies. The discussion between domestic delegates and speakers helps the strategies
of combating AMR to become localized to fit individual environment. The project is great. Excellent! Identified the general issues in APEC and exchanged the potential solutions for
the issues. AMR Policies Clear the definition on DDD/1000 p’t-day (DID) VRE(Vancomycin-R
Enterococcus faecieum) and Carrot/ stick for ICP( Infection control practionner) The project gave the opportunity to the members of APEC to share experience
and achievement on progress of ASP in different economy. International exchange and understanding of global AMR status, at economy
level and possible ways to combat AMR. Clarity and a view to upcoming changes.
Opportunity to meet and share experiences with other economies To understand more about the different antibiotics control and antimicrobial
resistant project in Asia control At least, we have a rough blueprint of AMR on APEC region. Furthermore,
experience sharing is one of important results in the conference. Enhance the public awareness towards the issue of surveillance and control of
antimicrobial resistance (AMR). New international information on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). To increase the awareness of AMR.
3. What new skills and knowledge did you gain from this event? Strategies to combat AMR. Rapid test. Surveillance of AMR. Stewardships programs, multiceltes surveillance of AMR. The information about resistance microba in the world, hoe to control, prevent
sharing information about antimicrobial resistance. Surveillance of AMR. The research about AMR among Asia economy is very interesting and it is very
practical to my business. Different approaches and strategies in AMR containment which includes
surveillance program prevention and antibiotics stewardship. AMS programmes. Situation in Japan and other economies. Epidemiology of AMR & ASP in Asia. Delineating differences on the surveillance systems being utilized by each
economy and the partner private companies. AMR threaten our ability and right to be healed and cured.
Each economies’ program detail. Sustained and long-term work in CPI will result in the AMR reduction. Global strategic plan, surveillance & monitoring of AMR information, networking
system to gather the AMR information. New diagnostic methods Knowledge about measurement in another economies to decrease AMR. WHO strategies fight AMR and AMR detection and containment of other
economy. The practical experience on infection control. New strategies of WHO program. I have learned the new approach on quality control. The development progresses of AMR surveillance. New concept of infection control. New quality management on AMR issue. New diagnosis test on AMR. Emergence and spread of AMR can be managed and controlled. The veterinary part of antibiotics use and the multicenter surveillance on AMR. E.g. AMR detection & containment current US approach (Bell) Insights on identifying key factors that contribute to a successful ASP. I learned more information about the antimicrobial stewardship programs in
different economies.
The importance of hand hygiene. The trend of some multidrug resistant organisms. The surveillance systems in different regions and economies as well as the

Explain: Get the new idea to develop the project on AMR. We are not experience in this topic, because we are only work the plow, but for
this reason, all the skills are new and useful for us. I get to learn best practices from other economies as well. New antibiotics
should be expedited in terms of formulation and production. It is necessary a work multi-disciplinary and in all level for reduce AMR. To
continue with surveillance in centinel hospitals. The conference schedule is well organized. Thus, it is easy to understand for
fresh learner. Strategic plans to fight against AMR and endorsement of ASP in my hospital
initiated since 1990. Strategic action plans to combat AMR in ASP and infection control. We hear more of the same, information that we know but it’s consolidated and
refreshed. Limited discussions of economies’ policies and national strategies New international information on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
6. How will you apply the project’s content and knowledge gained at your workplace? Please provide examples (e.g. develop new policy initiatives, organize trainings, develop work plans/strategies, draft regulations, develop new procedures/tools etc.)
Explain: Share approaches in human sector in workplace. Develop work plans/ cools. Organize training. Further understanding what AMR project are going on currently and in the
future. Develop new procedure and give training. Develop the surveillance system to AMR. Infection Disease Control is my project, and my business including institution
infection control, it is import to people who are living in long term care home to prevent AMR infection.
By strengthening the current program and adapting strategies learned from various economics during the workshop (e.g. infection prevention and control, and antimicrobial stewardship program)
Discuss these in the national group meeting. Launch a new project about AMR& ASP. We are now reviewing our national action plan on preventing AMR since it is
three years old already. An umbrella policy on how to execute the plan will be drafted.
Develop new local initiative. To continue with activities scheduled in the national plan AMR like the
development educational sessions online on AMR importance. Organize trainings, share information to public. Future class teaching on epidemiology of infection disease for global health
student. All of them. We will apply the project’s content and knowledge gain to our policy initiative,
develop work plans and organize trainings. I will revise our AMR policies to meet the latest development. Since the AMR isn’t popular in my economy, I will organized relevant workshop
to promote this issue much more. I will develop new policy initiatives to meet the goal of one health. It has inspired me to develop a multi sector policies involving agricultural and
vegetarian to tackle the AMR together. Develop work plans/strategies. Share all the available information (handouts, notes) to my colleagues. Discuss how to implementation. Maybe I could develop new policy initiatives or develop new procedures at my
workplace. Develop work plans/ strategies.
New policy. Create a platform to discuss the AMR issues and identify the root cause in
Chinese Taipei for preparing proper action items against AMR. Conduct a survey to identify the current gap of ASP in real world practice in
order to find out the place for improving. Hold local conference with inviting representatives from associated government
agencies (e.g. TFDA, CDC, NHIA, etc.), medical societies (e.g. IDST, ICST) and hospital ID/ID control divisions for going through the findings or conclusions from above platform/survey to set up executable action plans at hospital level.
Advocate the importance of anti-AMR via media or holding campaign to deliver the correct messages to the publics
We need to prescribe antimicrobials, judiciously. To Accesses effective antimicrobials, for those existed.
Selection of small but important problem to be fixed, then after, set up strategic plans for improvement.
Develop ASP monitoring KPIs and design more “carrot and sticks”. To communicate with clinical physicians. Share the key messages and approach to ensure that when we advocate we
are using the same surround sound with key stakeholders. To arrange the antibiotics research project. Pharmaceutical industry has been done a lot of events or plans on AMR issues.
Recently, we focus on training program, regional surveillance establishment and education materials development.
Conduct multicenter AMR surveillance program, in which data collection follows the recommendation from WHO GLASS.
Organize trainings, develop work plans/strategies, draft regulations, and develop new procedures/tools.
7. What needs to be done next by APEC? Are there plans to link the project’s outcomes to subsequent collective action by fora or individual actions by economies?Explain: Please include animal sector and environment sector. The project of infection disease, ex influenza, pertussis, and other air
transmission bacteria or vims. Yes, there are link the project’s outcome. One health approach in next APEC. Collection information, data and launch ASP for APEC. During break, we don’t mind watching videos promoting the economy’s tourism;
but please also include AMR/AMS/AMU videos from other economies to strengthen the promotion against AMR spread.
Suggest of concrete goal of AMR. Introduce the topic on AMR in the curriculum of training health professional as
well as CPI concepts. Expanded the scope of AMR to agriculture sector, not only in human health. Pandemic infection prepared Surveillance of infection disease There are not plow yet, but it would be witnessing to learn strategies to measure
antimicrobial because we don’t get this result at this moment.
Emerging infection disease. The APEC should promote cross economies collaboration study project. Building a reginal AMR surveillance network. To update the progress or preliminary outcomes of the actions taken in Q6 Help Chinese Taipei’s TNIS, TSAR into WHO-GLASS mapping. To identify issues and problems encountered in plans to combat AMR and
develop solutions. Need to advocates others to take this seriously. More tangible moves towards cooperation among economies. To support the study project for AMR. I think so far, the principles of AMR is based on WHO’s action plan. However, it
should be based on regional need and circumstances to establish region-wide action plan.
Implement a One Health approach.8. How could this project have been improves? Please provide comments on how to improve, if relevant.Explain: It was good to learn about the approaches for AMR in human sector. Prepare enough handbooks. No, this is an excellent conference. The project is very good. To engage all the stakeholder through one health approach. Some slides are missing in the handouts given to the participant. Please print
the latest copies of presentation next time; WHO presentation was not in our conference book.
Poster viewing should be accompanied by presentation of the author economy. It should be done in groups, round robin style so everybody can listen and ask questions later.
Participants in government/payer side. More engaged. There could be a session where the progress of economies are exposed. This is very awesome conference! It needs to discuss what final statement should be delivered. Excellent, good database and instruction system to join all information of
different sectors. Could keep Vietnam to improve AMR. The conference room was too small to accommodate all participants. In
addition, the direction signs were not big enough to see. Maybe it could include a session to set up (or announce) the goal of APEC in
following year so economies representatives could bring them back to their own economy to develop proper action plans and it could be shared again in the subsequent meeting.
More WHO satellite meeting or symposium on launched projects to be held in Chinese Taipei.
More interactive sessions such as short presentations on viewpoints (pros and cons) and discussion session to solve difficult to tackle issues.
Some practical issues, like how to encourage physicians to report CRE. More dissenting voices the downfall is that we are all talking amongst ourselves
all believe in the issue and need to do something but not hearing why there are barriers with other stakeholders.
This project is great and should be held as frequently as possible. More politicians and high-rank officials should be invited because the importance AMR is only acknowledged by limited people and experts.
