Enrolment Upon enrolling in an AIM SA short course or qualification, you will receive an invoice and a confirmation from us that will include the start dates, times and location details of your course or qualification.

Payment Terms All AIM SA invoices must be paid within 14 days from the date of the invoice. If you have a query in relation to your invoice, you need to let us know within that period. If the course or qualification is due to commence within 14 days then payment will be required immediately.

Location Unless organised otherwise, all AIM SA training takes place at the Centre for Management Development, located at our premises at 180 Port Road Hindmarsh. We encourage our clients to use the nearby tram, train or bus services to get to AIM SA, but if you are driving, there are limited car parks located underneath the building (enter off Orsmond Street).

Cancellations, Transfers and Substitutes Because life gets busy, there may come a time where you can’t attend a course. We understand this. Provided you give us written notice a minimum of 12 days prior to your course commencement date, you will receive a full refund.

Should you fail to attend a course without advising us in writing as above, we will not be able to provide a refund, or allocate you a place on a different course.

You can send someone else in your place, right up until the day before the course starts, as long as you let us know in writing and the person who goes in your place meets any entry requirements.

There are times when we may have to postpone or cancel a course. We reserve the right to do this, and in the event that we do this, we will make every effort to contact you and let you know.

Member rates You may have noticed that we offer Professional Member and Corporate Member rates for our courses and qualifications. Becoming a Member of AIM not only means you get to enjoy these special rates, but there are a number of other benefits for you or your organisation. For more information refer to page 134.

Assessment Assessment is an important component of a Nationally Recognised Qualification. Set by the National Training Framework, it ensures common standards are set nationally and means you can take your qualification with you wherever you are in Australia. It also helps you retain what you learn and apply your new, or enhanced, skills and knowledge. Assessment is not daunting at AIM SA. There are no exams and your facilitator is on hand to help you out throughout the process.

There is also no cost associated with having your course or qualification assessed, on the proviso that assessments are submitted within 12 months from the date of completion of your class work. After this time, assessments submitted will incur the following fee:

recognition of Prior Learning (rPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) You may have previously completed accredited training through AIM SA or another Registered Training Organisation. If this is the case, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer (CT). Alternatively, through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) you may be able to use the skills and knowledge you

Competency Mapping Interview: $100

Assessing of Evidence

1 – 3 units of competency being assessed: $200 per unit

4 – 6 units of competency being assessed: $175 per unit

Full qualification being assessed: $1,500 per qualification
