Individual prizes will be awarded to the first three competitors (male and female) in each category (except U21 and U18, = one category) for both slalom (and combi-race) and giant slalom.The Aiglon College Cup will be awarded to the school with the three best participants’ results, with these participants competing in at least two of the three age categories (mini, children, junior).

Race and Equipment RulesThese races will be run under International Competition Rules (ICR) as amended by British Rules (BCR). Competitors and coaches should make sure that they are aware of these. The ICR can be downloaded from www.fis-ski.com. BCR are available at www.gbski.com/rules.php.

Equipment : Competitors and coaches are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that equipment, including ski length and radius, conforms to discipline specifications. All competitors and forerunners must wear approved CRASH HELMETS for all disciplines.

U10 + U12 : For the giant slalom, they will race 2 runs on the main GS slope with the older categories (exact length dependant on conditions). For the Combi-race, two runs with best to count. They are not permitted to wear catsuits while competing.

InformationThese races will take place after the ISSC races this year (Les Houches, 9th/10th March). Villars is only 75mins from Geneva Airport and from Villars to Les Houches takes 90mins.

Training and training pistes : on the days prior to the races, training pistes will be available to clubs or schools wishing to train. Please contact the Chief of Race.

Lift Passes : special rate lift passes are available to all racers, trainers and accompanying adults for both the training day and the two race days. These must be bought from the ticket office at the bottom of the gondola in either Villars or Gryon. Those born in 2006 and younger ski for free in Villars/Gryon.

Accommodation : Please consult www.villars.ch for a range of accommodation in the local area.

Gatekeepers : we have never asked before, but this year we will need your help, please be ready to volunteer!

Race Entry DetailsInsurance : all competitors must have insurance cover for both organised ski racing and helicopter recovery. All non-BASS-registered competitors should submit a signed Snowsport GB Athlete’s Declaration Form (can be downloaded from any HNGB website) and proof of public liability insurance, which includes cover for racing, with the race entry.

Entry fees : U10 + U12 30 Swiss Francs (per event) U14 – U21 50 Swiss Francs (per event)

Payment of entry fees should be made in cash (CHF) between 19.30 and 20.00 on Wednesday 11th March (i.e. prior to the team captain’s meeting).

Entries : must be made on the official race entry form, one per competitor. Unless otherwise stated in the ‘additional information’ section of the entry form, racers will be entered into both events. Entries should be sent to the Race Secretary at the following address.
