Dear AIESEC San Luis Obispo, Though I really do doubt the majority of the LC would actually read this fully but I feel like writing this would be really fun anyway. So here it goes. WOW, where has the year gone? I remember when I first started my term and feeling so lost and unsure because of the realities, but look at us now. When I was contemplating on applying for this role, I have consulted many people and they have all gave me very different view points on the issue. One of the wisdom that I thought was extra impactful was “If you have hopes and a vision for your LC, if you truly think you are right for the job, then it is your duty to run for LCP.” And that was really it! I knew I had a hope of a grand AIESEC SLO. I knew I had a vision of taking our LC to new heights. But something they never told me was that I would never actually be ready for this job until it is actually done. The position of LCP is a once is a life time experience of pure personal and professional development. No one will truly be “ready” for the job, and honestly, being “not-ready” should not stop anyone from trying. Just applying is a journey that requires deep self realization and level of commitment for this organization, it’s mission, and the people it has changed and will continue to impact. Filling out this application is the first step towards a sacred process where your peers will choose their next leader. AIESEC SLO is something that I hold very dear to my heart and as sad I am, I am excited to pass the torch to someone that shares the passion. Please read requirements and responsibilities. Please be clear and concise with your answers. I wish you the best in this journey. Best, Samson Local Committee President 2014

Although it is not required for this particular application, many applications in AIESEC would require an endorsement letter written by someone in AIESEC.
