DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quantity Surveyor and Estimation Engineer, with the following key responsibilities;

Responsibility for all estimations and quantities works related to the project.

Field Work for quantity survey.

Review, and approvals for the contractors Quantity Measurement Sheets (QMS) for

all activities of the project (i.e. Concrete works, Formworks, Reinforcement, Earth

works, Grouting works, Instrumentation Devices Installations and Architectural

works) by checking its complaints with the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Method

Statement and technical specifications for all above mentioned activities for the

monthly interim payment application.

Assist the general contracts administration to compare the progress quantities with

actual measured quantities.

Monitoring of the fuel consumed by equipment & vehicles of the project.

Review design changes issued in drawings and prepare updated quantities accordingly.

Update the quantities according to VO's and determine the final project Price.

Calculation and evaluation of all mentioned works with computer programs including

Data sorting, documentation and reporting.

Training the fresh graduate civil engineers as part of National training program in the

Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity.

Quality Control Engineer, with the following key responsibilities;

Supervise and follow up quality construction site works and reporting to senior

construction engineer.

Check and follow up quality of executed works and its conformity to the executed

standards and specifications.

Supervise concrete mix design and all preparation and works related to concrete mix

design and follow up quality of concrete materials.

Following the works in site including testing construction materials.

Supervising the erection of the contractor site facilities.

Supervise the calibration of batch plant.

Supervision of all quality testing of coarse and fine aggregate, cement, fly ash,

Bentonite, chemical admixtures, water, reinforcement, fresh and hardened for

PLASTIC & Rigid concrete. All testing processes have been carried out in

accordance with project specifications and international standards such as American

Standards (ASTM), German Standards (DIN), European Standards (EN) and British

Standards (BS).

Supervision and follow up of trial mixes of both plastic& rigid concrete and grouting

mortar.

Quality control at batching and crusher plant.

Filling of laboratory test reports and documentation works.

Site Concrete Engineer, with the following key responsibilities;

Supervise and check all the site works from the excavation works up to finishing

works including the following;

Reinforcement works and concrete casting:

o Checking of water stop installation, concrete surface and formworks and

reporting to senior construction engineer.

o Supervision of other concrete works like pre-stress concrete works, defective

concrete repair, curing, day works supervision and acceptance.

Supervising of brick and plastering works.

Ensuring the contractor is complying with the requirement and specifications of the

contracts.

Preparation of the daily concrete cast report as well as filling documentation.
