FREEHAND Freehand drawings produced throughout freshman year at the architecture department and the art institute of Aleppo city.

WATERCOLOR The three top paintings are done for artistic purposes using gouache tubes.The buttom two are project related and

done by using color pans.

SYRIA FROM SYRIA TO TURKEY

OIL PASTEL Oil Pastel was introduced to study color temperature.A sense of vertical dominance was acheived by using a sharp blade.

GAZIANTEP UNIVERSITY

Once I finished my freshman year at the University of Aleppo I had to leave Syria because of war circumstances and I went to Turkey were I was granted a one year scholarship at the architecture department in Gaziantep University. II was entered into the Sophomores studio were I was introduced to the design process of a building and the structural systems that supports it in addition to landscape principles.

In both cases the In both cases the task was to redesign the chair into a more contemporary look with keeping the main characteristic that the original designer has intended to give for intended to give for the chair.

GAZIKENT COMMUNITY CENTER

Located in Gazikent nieghborhood with an area of approximately 3000 square meters, stands on a relatively even land , facing the North East.TheThe East elevation which faces the main street has a distinct design that gives the building its own characteristic and helps distribute the sun light into the building’s rooms. The Vertical windows were designed to create balance between the horizontal and vertical elements of the building.A roof garden is placed on top of the buidling to provide a recreational area were visitors can gather.

GAZIANTEP COMTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM

The initial idea of the design was a watercolor mixing board and the mixing circles would represent the connected units of the building. By the progress of the design process I reached this final design concept that combines all the units into one big circle.

TheThe units of the Museum are divided itno; Exhibition Building, Cafe/gifts shop, theater, and administration.
