AHC30816 Certificate III in Arboriculture (Climbing)
ARO Educational Services in conjunction with Mr Tom Fleming will be delivering training and assessment in the
AHC30816 Certificate III in Arboriculture (Climbing) in an immersive, interactive and inspiring programme.
This qualification will provide the occupational outcomes with a range of specialised knowledge to undertake skilled work
as a Climbing Arborist. Please note WorkReady funding only available for students under a contract of training.
Entry requirements—Prior to enrolment into this course with ARO Educational Services the student must have
completed the HLTAID003 First Aid and CPCCWHS1001 the White card unit.
The AHC30816 Certificate III in Arboriculture will allow you to:
Maintain the health of trees
Safely and professionally carry out the removal of trees
Prune and remove trees near powerlines
Carry out tree pruning, tree trimming and the shaping of trees
Provide advice on tree planting & maintenance
Class starts: Expressions of Interest being taken for February 2020 course
Duration: 20 months
Delivery: 4-5 days per every six weeks; classroom & practical training
Location: Woodhouse (Scouts Centre) Piccadilly

Arborists work in private and government positions to foster the economic, ecological,
environmental, health and social benefits of trees and professional tree care. Arborists provide for
the care and management of trees in conservation and tree preservation roles, tree climbing,
vegetation management, power line clearance, tree maintenance, and the pruning and shaping of
trees and, where required, the safe removal of trees.
