• India produces the largest number of vegetable crops with as many

as 61 annual and four perennial vegetable crops.

• India is the second largest producer of vegetables in the world.

Introduction

• Tomato is one of the most widely grown vegetable crop in India

(FAO, 2013).

• Pranic Agriculture is a holistic concept of farming systems. It

includes the whole invisible, subtle energy aspects of all of nature’s

life forms. It also includes the large communities of invisible beings

which are an intrinsic and important part of any nature system.

Review of Literature

(Sui 1987) Plants and trees absorb prana from sunlight, air, water and

ground.

Many years ago the FBI conducted a revolutionary experiment with

plants. plants were connected to a lie detector to measure their electric

field output. Different types of ‘test people’ then came into contact with

the plants. (Reid, 2012).

Every object including man, plants and trees are surrounded by an

energy field called bioplasmic body or ‘Aura’.

In a pilot study by Jois (2014) on Tomato harvest Pranic Healing

group produced 24% greater tomato yield compared with control

group. Farmers also noticed that truss of Pranic healing plants were

bigger and leaf of Pranic Healing plants were broader along with better

colour in Pranic Healing group tomatoes.

Objectives

• To find out the influence of Pranic Agriculture in improvingthe Overall yield.

• To understand the effectiveness of Pranic Agriculture inimproving the Quality of tomato.

• To evaluate the influence of Pranic Healing on the health ofthe tomato plant.

• To study the influence of Pranic Agriculture in improvingshelf life of tomatoes.

Conclusion

Two distinct aspects of Pranic agriculture – application of pranic

energy as well as pranic healing (scanning and cleansing) – and their

impact were distinctly visible during the study.

The data recorded during the initial visits reflect the impact on the

growth of the plant, number of trusses, the foliage and the flowering.

The data recorded during the later visits (subsequent to infestation

owing to unseasonal rains) reflect the impact due to healing on

continued flowering and yield.

Holistic farm management which leads a path towards Sustainable

Agriculture.
