The 2 applications are as follows;

(I’ll use the abbreviation "NSG" in the instructions) • NetScaler Gateway 3.1.6 for Mac OS 10.12 Sierra

(I’ll use the abbreviation "NSG" in the instructions) NOTE: The Mac app installers end with the suffix (.dmg). A DMG file is a mountable disk image created in Mac OS X. INSTALLING CITRIX RECEIVER 1. In the Finder double-click the "CitrixReceiver.dmg" file and it will mount a virtual disk (circled in red) on the Mac

Desktop, then a small window will open containing both the uninstaller and installer files.

2. If this is a first- time install, move to step 3.

If you have a previous version of Citrix Receiver double-click the "UNinstall Citrix Receiver.app" file and follow the instructions.

Troubleshooting: You can double-check if all components were uninstalled by following the article called “Manual Removal of Mac Apps – Citrix Receiver, NetScaler Access Gateway and Endpoint Analysis” at the end of these instructions. This is especially important with very old versions because the newer uninstall may miss files.

3. Double-click the "Install Citrix Receiver.pkg" file.

NETSCALER GATEWAY WON’T OPEN! If you go to open the NetScaler Gateway app on your Mac and it doesn’t, you are experiencing a known Citrix bug. What’s happening is the Citrix Receiver app is opening in the background instead and preventing NetScaler from opening.

You'll need to quit the CR app first, then open the NSG app. To quit the CR app, use the CR icon in the menu bar and choose Quit. Make sure you're quitting the CR app and not the NSG app. After this initial setup of AGO2GO you will NOT be using Citrix Receiver at all, the only app you will be using is NetScaler Gateway, everything else works in the background.

Tip: For quick access to an app you can drag it from the Applications folder into your DOCK and it will create an alias of the apps. This does not move the app, it should still be in your Applications folder, this just creates a shortcut to open it.

Manual Removal of Mac Apps – Citrix Receiver, NetScaler Access

Gateway and Endpoint Analysis Objective In some cases, after having uninstalled a Citrix application for Mac, certain files might be left behind in the system. This

has mostly been reported after having run earlier versions of an uninstaller. This article describes how to manually

remove the files in order to avoid any unexpected behavior if and when an application is re-installed. This article can

also be used as reference to clean a system after having an older or legacy version of an application uninstalled, and

prior to installing the latest version for Mac.

Remove these folders or files from the Root locations; Macintosh HD > Applications folder

• Delete the Citrix folder (part of NetScaler app) • Delete Citrix Receiver.app application
