President’s Message Howdy Aggie Moms!
Fall is in the air...school is in full swing, and our
Aggie students are settling into the routines of
college life. How about our Aggie Football team?
Several good games and then a nail-biter on
Saturday against Kentucky! Whoop!!
Aggie Moms Connecting (AMC) is looking forward
to getting together again this month to create our
own bath bombs to pamper ourselves. We had a
great time at Legacy Hall touring the Unlawful
Assembly Brewing Company and watching the
Aggies play Alabama. Be on the lookout for more
information in the weekly emails on all AMC
events!
Aggie Angels will have our first dinner on
Wednesday, October 24, at 6:30p at Kelly’s at the
Village in Allen. This is a wonderful opportunity for
our “seasoned” moms to connect with our new
Aggie moms. If you haven’t signed up yet, there is
still time. Watch for the link in the weekly email.
Thanks to all who paid your membership dues—
new, returning, and associate members!
Membership is a focus of CCAM in the fall. We had
over 100 new moms attend our New Mom’s
Welcome last month and we had great
representation of membership at our first general
meeting of the year. If you have not yet joined
this year, now is the time to do so. You are
encouraged to pay your dues by October 15 so
you can continue to receive our emails and
newsletters and ensure you are listed in our
membership directory that will distributed at the
November general meeting.
Fundraising is also a focus for CCAM in the fall.
Our pecan sales are underway and orders are due
at our October 15 general meeting. This year we
continue to offer bags of shelled pecans and gift-
ready flavored pecans. It’s a great time to connect
with past Aggie moms and introduce new moms to
the delicious pecans we sell.
You will find information in the newsletter on other
fall fundraisers such as our very own Aggie-grown
Poinsettias available for the holidays. Scrip Gift
Cards can also be ordered monthly. They make
great gifts or you can
use the gift cards
yourself. Contact
friends, relatives, and
clients and let’s make
this a great year
raising funds for
student scholarships
and organizations.
We will have Goodie Bags available at the October
general meeting. We only have a few extras
available for sale! This is not a fundraiser, just
something special for your students as they finish
the fall semester—goodie bags packed with love
and care by Aggie moms! We will also be filling
our Halloween bags at the meeting and Carpool¾a
student run organization to get students home
safely on the weekends.
As you can tell, our October meeting will be a
busy meeting...but a great way to get to know
many new moms, make new friends, and be a
part of great traditions! I look forward to seeing
you on October 15.
Thanks and Gig' em!

Rock the Night!
Twenty-three Ring of Honor (ROH) Moms – Seasoned, Spicy, and Extra Spicy - had a fabulous evening at our first get together with a walking progressive dinner at The Village of Allen enjoying beautiful weather, food, fun, and fellowship! Our first stop was at Aggie Mom lovin’ Kelly’s of Allen with appetizers and dinner.
Sweet treats followed at Cold Stone Creamery, Grif’s Sammi Shop, Bliss Cupcakes, or Yumilicious Yogurt, then relaxing on the patios or at the outdoor living room. The night was capped off
with drinks and live music under the stars at Bar Louie’s.
A fantastic time was had by all seeing old friends and making new ones. Stay
tuned for our next adventure!

AGGIE ANGELS!
Aggie Angels is a
group of awesome
moms that love help-
ing new Aggie
moms. We pair up
new moms with a
veteran Aggie mom
so you have a re-
source if you have
questions or con-
cerns, a familiar face
to sit with at meet-
ings, and a great
group of moms to go
out to dinner with
once a month! We try to pair up moms with students
in similar majors, at the same campus, or in the
Corps. Sometimes this isn't possible, but we do our
best. We are planning our dinners on the fourth
Wednesday of each month. This is a great time to
eat, drink, and have great conversation. Make sure
you have completed your CCAM membership and
then sign up for an Aggie Angel! If you have already
filled out the form that was in the New Moms Folder,
or the form provided at the meetings, you do not
need to fill out the attached document.
We will have our first Aggie Angels dinner at Kelly's
At The Village on Wednesday, Oct 24 at 6:30pm.
Kelly's is located at 190 Stacy Rd, Unit 1204, Allen,
TX 75002. An evite will be coming out soon!
Veteran moms! We need you to be an Aggie An-
gel! Thank you to all the awesome moms that
have already signed up to be an Angel! You are
Rock Stars!! If you haven't had the chance to
sign up yet and want to help, fill out the at-
tached form for Veteran Moms, or contact Tere-

Keep it Clean. Keep it Green.
Did you know that there are other ways to recycle from the usual
paper, glass and metal recycling? Donating your unwanted clothing and
household items is also a great way to contribute to landfill diversion and
help reduce overall CO2 emission. Although our clothes can take up closet
pace for just a few months or few years, they can take up to 40 years to
decompose once we throw them away. Just because they no longer occupy
our closet space does not mean they are no longer our problem – they fill up
our landfills and cause negative effects on our environment.
So far this year, Collin County Aggie Moms have diverted a total of
22,941 pounds of textile waste through their fundraisers with
Recycle 2 Support. To put this into perspective, the diversion of 22,941
pounds of textile waste results in the prevention of emitting 160,587 pounds
of carbon dioxide which would only e offset by planting 3,346 trees.
This fall, CCAM is taking part in another eco-friendly fundraiser event with
Recycle 2 Support.
From November 5th to the 18th
Recycle 2 Support Fundraiser
Drop off any unwanted clothing and household items at Recycle 2 Support
on 2417 FM423, Little Elm, TX 75068 or at their new Frisco donation center
located at 10601 Ohio Dr, Frisco, TX 75035.
All donated items will
contribute raising scholarships
funds – the more donations,
the more money we will raise.
So pack up you unwanted
clothing and household items,
and head over to Recycle 2
Support to help us raise funds
while helping our
environment!
