Mr. Ryan Miller
Director, Marion Public Service Department
195 35th Street
Marion, Iowa 52302
Dear Mr. Miller,
It is hard to overstate the challenges your team and the Marion community have been
through over the course of the past year. I can only imagine the anticipation of seeing a
project becoming a reality, and then the frustration of watching it turn into an escalating
concern and ultimately, an obstacle. We can help bring order back to the process and
can turn this into a community asset and stepstone to a greater vision for Marion’s Public
Services and the Eco Industrial Park.
Conlon Construction believes in craftsmanship and accountability. We have a long history
of successful builds and a commitment to getting projects done right. We are eager for the
opportunity to perform as your Construction Manager as Adviser and are well suited to
restarting this project and setting a new standard for professionalism, quality controls, and
compliance.
The Eco Industrial Park project will be a testament to Marion’s ability to overcome adversity.
It will also serve to lead other communities by embracing new forms of technology and
energy utilization, as well as providing innovative solutions that municipalities across the
country are struggling to solve. These are exciting initiatives and we want to be a part of
the effort to make them real and bring them online.
Enclosed you will find a packet full of information about our business, our history, and our
approach. You will find us to be a company full of enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspired
individuals prepared to get to work for Marion. We would encourage that the next step in
this process be approval of the agreement we have attached to this proposal. Please do
not hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can provide. Thank you for considering
Conlon.
Sincerely,
CONLON CONSTRUCTION CO.
Ben Simon
Vice President of Regional Construction
