Conclusion

• The Catholic Church played an important role in the lives of Europeans both before & after the “Middle Ages”• It starts to lose influence with

the Renaissance, Reformation,and Enlightenment

• The Crusades failed, but had positive effects: • increased cultural diffusion• Ended feudalism and manorialism• Led to the Renaissance• Ended the “dark ages”
