Synopsis of a Children Story by Dinkar Sharma
One-liner: Ten years old boy who is too fond of copying his
elders meets a sage who
grants him three wishes. His rst wish is to instantaneosly trn
into a grown p
man.
Ten years old !ash is too fond of copying his father. This
obsession is not like hero-
worshiping bt a sitation in which !ash tries to enact each and
e"erything that his
father does # like sha"ing$ sing the electrical tool bo%$
dri"ing the car etc. He&d
rather look into his dad&s briefcase than doing his school
homework.
One day$ his father is to go for a night camping with his male
friends. 'oth the
parents try to hide this from !ash as they know he wold also
want to go bt he
gres ot the plan. So$ in the e"ening$ when his father wants him
to go into thepark play when he is to lea"e$ !ash hides himself in
the car.
His father is able to nd him only when they ha"e tra"elled too
far and then he has
no option bt to let !ash be a part of the grop. (t night$ when
e"eryone camps$
!ash again tries to copy his father in ptting p a tent
ending p hrting his own
foot. His father scolds him this time. (fter some medical help
for his foot$ !ash is
ordered to )ietly sleep o* inside a tent.
+nside the tent$ !ash can&t fall asleep hearing his father
spend some nice time with
his friends. He comes ot and wants to ,oin the elders. His
father shots at him and
he shots claiming he is a grown p man. +n anger$ he rns away
into the ,ngle. Hisfather and his friends comes after him bt !ash
falls down in a pit and rolls o"er to
the other side of the hill.
He gets p to meet a mysterios sage who grants him three wishes.
!ash says
,he 'ade /ogon 0aisa 'ana Do.1 (ll of a sdden$ a storm circles
him and !ash
faints. He only wakes p the ne%t morning to nd himself of his
father&s age2
3obody seems to be noticing the di*erence. !ash is happy that
now he can
accompany his father to his o4ce. He does get to do things adlt
do bt soon he
starts to nd them boring. He meets the challenges of adlthood.
He nds what sort
of a pressre o4ce life is. He also misses his childhood bt nds
people laghing at
him when he does something childish.
The sage reappears at another moment$ when !ash cries ot
lod for ha"ing trned
into a grown p$ the sage reappears in his dream and grants him
his second wish #
