Important Dates

• 4 May 15 – Standard published. • 3 August 15 – Standard effective.• 1 Oct 15 thru 8 Jan 16 – Postpone full

enforcement for residential construction only– OSHA won’t issue citations if the employer is “making

good faith efforts to comply”.– ER must be in compliance with new training

requirements OR follow training requirements in 1926.21(b)(6)(i)

• Instruct EEs on nature of hazards.• Instruct EEs on necessary precautions.• Use of protective and emergency equipment required.
