Giraffes Giraffes are very tall (kind of like Mr. Gorman) They have 12 inch tongues which they use to clean their ears .

There are less then 80,000 giraffes in the world.

The giraffes are the tallest animal in the world (I thought Mr. Gorman was the tallest...)

Young giraffes are called calves.

Giraffes can live up to 25 years, and grow up to 18 ft.

Elephants A adult elephant’s trunk grows up to 7ft

aka 2 metres.{same size as Mr. Gorman}

When Elephants drink water it sucks up about 2 gallons {7.5 litres} of water.

Elephants give birth when they are 13 years of age. A baby elephant is 2 ½ feet tall.

Zebras Zebra are part of the equidae family along with horse and

donkeys.

Every zebra has a unique pattern of black and white stripes.

Zebra crossings (pedestrian crossings) are named after the black and white stripes of zebras
