Implementation Status and Key Decisions

This is an interim Implementation Status Rreport (ISR). The next implementation support missions for all series of WAAPP (thus including for WAAPP-1b) started on April 13 and will be concluded on May 26, 2015. Thus the ISR will be upated then with latest/actual results and conclusions of the support missions.But overall WAAPP continues to progress satisfactorily towards achieving its PDO. Particularly right now the Program, among others, is playing a critical role in the aquisition and distriubtion of foundation and certified seeds to the Ebola affected countries. All the three countries of WAAPP-1B are participating in supplying the Ebola affected countries. For example WAAPP Burkina is in the process of supplying 1000 tons of certified seed rice and 50 tons of maize to Sierra Leone and Liberia; WAPP Cote d'Ivoire had already delivered 60 tons of foundation rice seeds to Guinea.
