Cúirt is known internationally for bringing together writers from all corners of the world for a week of warmth, hospitality and culture. 3-6 Bealtaine / May KATS – Knocknacarra Amateur Theatre Society – 8pm Present their annual spring/summer performance on the Taibhdhearc stage. 20 Bealtaine / May From Malin to Mizen - A Journey in Music, Song and Story Along the Wild Atlantic Way – 7.30pm Presented by Galway Percy French Society. Scripted by Margaret Curley, the journey is narrated by Rev. The theatre is a highly suitable venue for drama, screenings, conferences, seminars, workshops and launches in any language. The auditorium has 148 seats, projection facilities, stage blacks, a cyclorama, lighting rig, great acoustics, a full P.A. system, wheelchair access, an induction loop and more. An Taibhdhearc is the national Irish language theatre which first opened in 1928. The theatre is a highly suitable venue for drama, screenings, conferences, seminars, workshops

‘The Birds’ by Conor McPherson’s – 8pmCompántas Lir are back after a massively successful 2016 which saw them win the ‘All Ireland Three Act final’ for the first time with their production of ‘Proof’. Conor McPherson’s take on

‘The Birds’ is a suspenseful, atmospheric adaption of Daphne de Maurier’s short story that inspired Hitchcock’s classic movie.

It has been acclaimed by both students and teachers nationwide, for inspiring students to enjoy learning Irish.

‘The Odd Couple’ by Neil Simon – 8pmThe play concerns two mismatched roommates: the neat, uptight Felix Ungar and the slovenly, easygoing Oscar Madison. Having been thrown out by his wife, Felix moves in with his friend Oscar. With their new living arrangement, Oscar and Felix’s idiosyncrasies come to the fore and relationships are tested to breaking point.
