Bíonn cabhair ag teacht ó thaibhse Mhamó sa tobar ach bíonn bagairt ó na bansióga sa liosachán freisin! Dráma comhaimseartha le macallaí ón mbéaloideas, chomh maith le spraoi, gluaiseacht, maisc, ceol agus damhsa.

D’oscail an Taibhdhearc, amharclann náisiúnta na Gaeilge, ar dtús sa bhliain 1928. Úsáidtear an amharclann mar áis d’imeachtaí éagsúla: drámaí, comhdhálacha, ceardlanna,
seoltaí agus seimineáir i dteanga ar bith. Tá 148 suíochán ar fad ann, le háiseanna teilgin, rige soilsithe, fuaimíocht den scoth, lúb ionduchtúcháin, bealach isteach do chathaoireacha rothaí
agus neart eile. Tá seomra cótaí againn freisin, mar aon le beár a ndíoltar tae, caife, deochanna agus sneaiceanna ann.
An Taibhdhearc is the national Irish language theatre which first opened in 1928. The theatre is a highly suitable venue for drama, screenings, conferences, seminars, workshops
and launches in any language. The auditorium has 148 seats, projection facilities, stage blacks, a cyclorama, lighting rig,
great acoustics, a full P.A. system, wheelchair access, an induction loop and more. We also have a cloakroom and a bar,
serving tea, coffee, drinks and snacks.

A fundraising event for the Connacht Fleadh Galway 2017 in July. Featuring musicians, singers and dancers from the Comhaltas branches throughout Galway.

‘The Birds’ is a suspenseful, atmospheric adaption of Daphne de Maurier’s short story that inspired Hitchcock’s classic movie.

Tá clú agus cáil ar an seó agus tá an-tóir ag múinteoirí agus daltaí air mar bhealach spraíúil chun daltaí a spreagadh i dtreo na Gaeilge.The Taibhdhearc presents High Rock productions ‘Caith Amach é’ – a smash hit comedy based on the Leaving Cert Irish Oral picture sequences. It has been acclaimed by both students and teachers nationwide, for inspiring students to enjoy learning Irish.
