Welcome! • The range of housing includes townhouses and

apartments, with some homes designed specifically to meet the needs of people with disabilities.

• Most sites have play areas for children spacious common areas and outdoor spaces.

• A typical family three bedroom unit includes stove, fridge, and window coverings. Most sites have on-site laundry facilities for your use at a nominal charge.

• Schools and transportation are usually nearby.

How to apply for Metro Vancouver housing • Apply online or print the package at metrovancouver.org

• Visit our office at Metrotower III, 4730 Kingsway in Burnaby, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Building entrance is accessed from Central Boulevard.

• Phone us at 604-432-6300 and ask for a housing application package to be mailed to you.

Applicants:• Complete your application and submit it online OR

return the application to 4730 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC, V5H 0C6 (in-person or by mail).

• Please ensure that you’ve filled out the forms completely and provided all supporting documents to avoid delays.

If you require a subsidy:• Metro Vancouver Housing and other non-profit

organizations are members of the BC Housing Registry. The Registry is a province-wide database of applicants who require rent-assisted housing.

• Metro Vancouver Housing selects applicants for available subsidized units from the BC Housing Registry. To apply to the Registry go to www.bchousing.org or phone 604-433-2218.

• Approved applicants will be contacted when a subsidized unit becomes available.

• Most of our housing sites offer two and three bedroom townhouses/apartments for families at the lower end of market rents.

• Several of our sites have homes that meet the needs of people aged 55 and older, people with disabilities, and those with other special needs.

• Rent assistance may be available for households with low incomes. Rents are based on a percentage of your income or B.C. Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance shelter rates.
