The multidisciplinary FOOD CHOICE theme

ASFS was founded in 1987 to bring together social scientists and nutritionalscientists, and continues to offer a forum for creating interdisciplinaryperspectives in Food Studies. ASFS holds an annual conference each late spring
when it meets jointly with the Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society(AFHVS), ASFS publishes the journal Food, Culture and Society, ASFS has an activelistserve, and ASFS makes a syllabi set and other resources available on itswebsite.

AGEV was founded in 1977 with the aim of uniting allapproaches to the study of human dietary behaviour. The Associationpromotes exchange among the natural, social, and cultural sciences, inresearch planning and evaluation. AGEV convenes national and internationalconferences for scientists and practitioners from all aspects of nutritionalbehaviour.

Abstracts must be in the style and one of the maximum lengths specified in the current Guide to Authors for Appetite, with scientific and literary standards
assured by the editor(s) nominated by the organisers and agreed by the Exceutive Editors. An initial proposal should be sent to the representative of thepanels of editors, the Contact Editor at [email protected] with the subject of the message being Appetite - abstracts proposed.
