Bed Selection
1 STEP ONE
Choose between Dual-slope and Flat-loorTwo critical factors affecting the choice of bed style are:
Grae
Dual-slope beds retain loads better on steeper grades.
MaterialMeterig
Flat-floor beds have excellent material metering capabilities.
STEP TWO
Choose the liner to complete the body systemThree critical factors affecting the choice of liners are:
MaterialCoitioPoorly fragmented material requires a heavier liner to
absorb the impact of the load and to optimize the life
of the body. At the same time, if the liner is heavier
than required for the given material condition, it will
compromise the payload due to increased liner weight.
MaterialAbrasiveessDepending on the material abrasiveness, choosing the
right liner is important to optimize the life of the body
system. Heavy duty steel and rubber liners provide
superior protection in highly abrasive material conditions.
OperatorComfort
Rubber body systems, with their excellent impactabsorption, provide the maximum level of operator comfort.
Rubber liners also absorb sound, minimizing spectator noise.

To better serve the quarry and aggregate industry, a new quarry body is now available.
Thisnewbodyisdesignedtohandlelowtomediumdensity/abrasivematerialwithoutthe
useofliners.Theyaredesignedwitha400HBNsteelbody.Thishighqualityhardened
steel is much more abrasive resistant and leads to greater wear resistance, and less
weight, while eliminating the use of liners in most material. This will result in lower cost pertonnes, increased payloads, and lower operating cost by eliminating liner replacement and
maintenance costs.
The following chart outlines quarry material, material hardness, and selection guidelines for
