40 Rider Limit. Entry fee $108.00+$25 if entry postmarked after June 3rd 2020. Entry Fee includes Camping, AERC Fee, EMMP Fee, Completion award. Awards available in both distances for 1st, BC, and Turtle awards for slowest time with special awards for all riders 17 and under.

There will be no ride meeting. Be sure to read all the ride info here in this flier and read all emails from ride management. You will be able to ask questions when you check in. We are getting to be a well established ride so most of you have been there and done that at our rides, but if we get to have the ride there may be some changes to how we do things because of THE VIRUS. We will follow all AERC, local, state and federal guidelines and orders.

Free for 2020 AERC Ride Managers, 17 and under, law enforcement, firefighters, EMT, military active and retired.

Head Control Judge and Treatment, DVM Dan Chapman. Second Control Judge, DVM Jerry Long.Ride start time for 25 and 50 5:30 AM (beat the heat) Vet checks are all in Ride Camp. Pulse criteria at Vet Checks and Finish is 60 within half hour. 1 half hour hold for 25. 1 hour hold at 25 miles and 1/2 hour hold at 40 miles for 50.

AWARDS: There will be no awards meeting. Awards will handed out as riders complete.

MEALS: There are restaurants that will provide take out just 3 miles away. And it is likely if we are having the ride then restaurants will have some sit down seating too. We can watch your horses. We have even had riders set up their portable corrals and go stay at local hotels. Not sure what the status will be with the Weaverville 4th of July celebrations. We do not know yet what we will do about our usual practice of providing fruit and water and ice tea on trail.

RIDE CAMP AND TRAILS: Ride camp was built by us with cooperation of USDA Forest Service in 2014, the first year we held this ride. The dust has settled but it is still a

primitive camp. It is on a wooded ridge on what we call Trinity County Flat. If you have a extra large rig, let us know so we can park you ‘up front’. We provide potable toilets. Water is all trucked in and there are many water troughs about camp. Please bring as much water with you as you can to help us keep up with demand. Course is Single track on 95% of the 50, 99% on the 25. Views abound. There are technical single tracks with drops offs, twists and turns and bridges, creek crossings, knee knockers and low limbs and eye jabbers. We do notice and care about cleaning out the low limbs and eye jabbers and clearance is improving, though some low limbs are considered features by Bicyclists and Hikers so look for caution tape and slow down when you see it. Caution tape can also mean other obstacles you need to slow down and look out for like washouts, large boulder in middle of trail. Not every hazard is marked but those that are, take seriously please. The loops are color coded, the map, the ribbons on clothes pins and laminated arrows will be all same color for each loop. Example 50 miles is 25 mile pink loop, 15 mile orange loop,10 mile red loop. The footing is great on most the trails...there is rock here and there. The course does not have extreme elevation changes but there is elevation gain and loss on short burst that adds up. We work hard on course design to keep you in the shade during the heat of the day. There is natural water as well as in troughs for drinking and tubs to sponge out of. Sponging water is cooled with ice if necessary. Water is available on the course every five miles or less.

TRAIL RIDE: 10 rider limit. $45 entry fee, includes camping, AERC Fees and completion award. 22 mile option with plenty of narrow drop off single track that utilizes the La Grange Ditch Trail. You will be going on this trail after the endurance riders and will have about 15 miles that includes the drop off trails without shared trail. 10 mile option single track East Weaver Creek loop. There will be shared trail with endurance riders on this loop. We have a small group of endurance riders though and they must be polite and considerate to you and other trail users are they can be disqualified. This is a non timed non competitive event.

Because of set expenses and our small rider limits and the unlimited free entries for kids and heroes our refund policy is stiff but when you get to the point where it's 50% refund or no refund remember we will still honor your entry for a future ride, no time limit. Thank you to those that have donated to cover a entry for a kid or a hero and those that have canceled that have donated their entry back. We feel it is very important to help families share this sport with their kids and for our first responder and military heroes to be honored.
