    InstructionsThankyouforchoosinganAeratron™CeilingFan.Youhavechosenthebest!LEDLightKit&CeilingExtensionKitisoptionalforallAE2&AE3Aeratron™models.Wefeelconfidentthatyournewceilingfanwillprovideyoumanyyearsofenjoyment.GeneralprecautionsPleasereadandfollowtheseinstructionscarefully,andbemindfulofallwarningsshownthroughoutthismanual.Thisfanmustbeinstalledbyalicensedandqualifiedelectricianaccordingtolocalauthorityregulations.Be cautious! Read all instructions and safety information, and review the accompanying assemblydiagramsbeforeinstallingyournewfan.Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons(includingchildren)withreducedphysical,sensoryormentalcapabilities,orlackofexperienceandknowledge,unlesstheyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstructionconcerninguseoftheappliancebyapersonresponsiblefortheirsafety.Childrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethattheydonotplaywiththeappliance. LocationandinstallationrequirementsforyourfanToprovideadequateclearancefromthefloorthelowestpointonthefanbladesmustbeatleast84”fromfinishedfloorlevel.Note: For a fanmounted directly to the ceiling, the lowest point of the fan blade is approximately11.5”Make sure that the chosen location of the fanwill not allow the rotating fan blades to come intocontactwithanyobject.Ensureceilingjoistsaresoundandofadequatesizeandstrengthtosupporta35Kg(77lbs)load.

    Toreducetheriskoffire,electricalshockorpersonalinjury,ensurethatthefanmountingbracketissupporteddirectlyfromthebuildingstructure.DONOTmounttoanoutletbox.Themountingbracketmustbefirmlyscrewedtoaloadbearingstructuree.g.aconcreteceiling,steelstructureortimberframe.Ifatimberframeistobeaddeditmustbesecurelynailedorscrewedbetweentwobeams.Mountingboxesmustbeembeddedinconcreteorotherloadbearingmaterial.MechanicalNotesDonotremovethefanfromtheceilingafterinstallation.DonotattachtheFanAssemblybeforetheFanMotorHousingisinstalledandsecured.Toprotectthefinish,theFanMotorHousingshouldbekeptinthecartonuntilreadytobeinstalled.Afterthefaniscompletelyinstalled,checktomakesurethatallconnectionsaresecuretopreventthefanfromfallingand/orcausingdamageorinjury.Toreducetheriskofpersonalinjury,donotbendordamagethemotorDriveShaftorFanAssemblywhenhandlingorinstallingAeratronfansareequippedwithaself-balancingsystemanddonotrequiremanualbalancing!ElectricalNotes!Meansfordisconnectionmustbeincorporatedinthefixedwiringinaccordancewithnationalwiringrules!Wehighlyrecommendinstallingthefanwithanon/offswitchsothatthecurrenttothefanreceivercanbeisolated.Thefancanbeusedwithawallcontrolandinconjunctionwithmosthomeautomationsystems.Extraelectronicsarerequired;pleasecontactyourfansupplierforfurtherinformation.Toavoidpossibleelectricshockduringinstallation,besureelectricityisturnedoffatthemainpowerboxbeforecommencingwork.Disconnectpowerbyremovingfuseorturningoffcircuitbreakerbeforeinstallingthefan.Ensureallsplicedconnectionsareadequatelyinsulated.Note:Nothinginthismanualisintendedtoinstructorassistuntrainedorunqualifiedpersonstoinstallthisproduct.

    CheckingceilingconditionandpreparingforfaninstallationBeforecommencinginstallation,turnoffelectricitysupplyatthemainpowerbox.Disconnectpowerbyremovingfuseorturningoffcircuitbreaker.

    InstallationmountedtoCeilingJoistorEmbeddedMountingBoxInstallmountingbrackettoceilingjoistorMountingBoxembeddedinconcreteusingthescrewsandwasherprovided.Themountingplateshouldbeabletoholdaweightofatleast35kg(77lbs).NOTE:Propercaremustbetakenwhenmountingtoconcreteceilings.Forsafemountingtheseceilingsmayrequireplasticplugs/anchorsandstrongerscrews.

    Care&CleaningRegular cleaningof theAeratronCeiling fanblades and fanmotorhousing is theonlymaintenanceneeded.Duetotheself-balancingdesign,alargebuildupofdustonbladesmaycreateanimbalanceinextremecasesonly,causingthebladestowobbleduringuse.Thisislikelytobemoreapparentonfanswithanextensionrod.Regularcleaningofthebladeisrecommendedtopreventdustfrombuildingup.

    1. Whencleaningyourfan,onlyuseasoftbrushorlintfreeclothtoavoidscratchingthefinish.DONOTusewaterwhencleaningyourceilingfan.Itcoulddamagethemotororbladesand/orcreatethepossibilityofelectricshock.

    2. When dusting the blades, you must support the blades to prevent bending - no pressureshouldbeappliedtothebladepivot.Aftercleaningtheblades,checktoensurethattheDriveShaftisvertical,otherwisethefanmaywobble.

    3. Occasionally, itmaybenecessary to re-tighten the fanblades and fanmotorhousing fixingscrewstopreventanyclickingorhummingsoundsduringoperation.Thisisespeciallytrueinclimateswithbroadtemperatureandhumidityranges.

    4. Ifyouexperienceanyflawsintheoperationofyourfan,pleasecheckthepointsintheTroubleShootingsectionbelow.

    WARNING:Except for items1 to3below, the following requireaccess toareasof the fan.Lethal voltagesarepresentunder thecover soproperlyqualifiedpersonnelmust carryoutwork.

    TROUBLESHOOTINGIfthefandoesnotoperateproperly,orturnsonoroffatrandom.

    6. Checkthemainandbranchcircuitbreakersand/orfuses.7. Checkthewireconnectionstothefan.8. OtherRFdevicesmayobstructthehandsettoreceiversignal.

    Ifthefanisnoisy9. Check tomake sure that SuspensionBall is located in the slot correctly, and theone screw

    securingthesuspensionballistight(seepage8).10. CheckthatHangerBracketissolidlymounted,nomovementallowed(seepage7)11. Checkthatthe2Hubscrewsperfanbladearetightandfirm(seepage12and13)12. Excesswindcanliftthefanbladesandresultinsomenoise.

    Ifthefanrotatesbutdoesnotcreatemuchairflow13. Theroommaycontainitemsthatobstructtheairflow.14. Thefanmaybetoosmallforthesizeoftheroom.15. Thefanmightbeinreversefunction(counterclockwiserotation)

    Note:insomeareas,theelectricitysupplierforthecontrolofoffpeakhotwater,streetlightsandsoon sends signals through thepower lines. These signalsmay causean intermittenthumming in theceilingfan.Filtersmaybeavailableifpowerqualityisanissueinyourarea.

    GeneralInformation1. All electrical motors, including fan motors may be slightly audible, and may feel warm to

    touch.ThisisNOTafault.2. Ceiling fans tend tomove slightly duringoperationdue to the fact that they arenot rigidly

    mounted.Asmallamountofmovementisconsiderednormaloperationanddoesnotsuggestthatthefanwillfalldown.TheAeratronfanismountedsecurelyonametalHangerBracketwithrubbercushioningandaballjointtoallowfreemovement.

    3. Ceilingfansareanenvironmentallysmartchoicetohelpcoolyouinyourhome.Theyworkbycreatingairflowcausingacoolingsensationontheskin.Ceilingfansdonotcoolair;theycoolpeoplesoalwaysturnthemoffwhenleavingaroom.Theeffectivenessofceilingfansisalsodependentonthehumidityintheair-theyaremoreeffectiveinhumidenvironments.

    4. Duringwinter,areverse(counterclockwise)turningfanhelpstoreduceheatingcosts.Warmairrisestotheceiling,whereitcannotbefeltbytheoccupantsofaroom,especiallyinareaswithhighceilings.Thefanassiststodistributewarmairmoreevenlyandreducetheamountoftimeandenergyusedtoheataspace

    FairUse.Threadedcomponentsworkingslightly looseorpartsevenslightlydamagedorbentduringvigorouscleaningorbumpingcancausewobbleandnoise.Thisisnotcoveredunderwarranty,butcareduringmaintenanceandcleaningshouldpreventthisfromoccurring.

    CeilingFanWarranty.Youmusthavetheoriginalpurchasereceiptorbillofsaletomakeawarrantyclaim.Noclaimwillbeacceptedunlessproofofdateofpurchaseisavailableatthetimeofmakingthewarrantyclaim.CeilingFanWarrantyPeriod.Theceilingfan itself,excludingtheRemoteControlTransmitterandReceiver, iscoveredbya3yearparts+30yearmotorwarranty.Foranywarrantyclaims,pleasecontactyourlocalorregionalretaileror distributor. Aeratronwill, at its discretion, only repair or replace defective productswhich havebeendirectlypurchasedfromAeratronPtyLtd,allotherproductclaimsmustbelodgedthroughyourlocalretailer/distributor.BalanceofWarrantyonRepairedorReplacedProducts.Any replacedor repairedproduct is coveredonly by thebalanceof thewarranty remaining on theoriginalarticle.TransferofWarranty.Thefanisonlycoveredifinstalledinitsoriginallocation.Relocatedfanswillnotbecovered.Warrantyis transferrable only where an Ownership and Warranty Transfer has been completed. Whereapplicablethebalanceofthewarrantypassestothenewowner,providingthenewownerretainstheoriginalbillofsalefortheproduct.Warrantydoesnotcoverdamagetothefanifitismovedfromonelocationtoanotherduringthewarrantyperiod.Thewarrantyisvoidedintotaliftheproductissoldassecondhandgoods.ThefollowingisNOTcoveredbywarranty.

    1. Anydamageincurredafterdeliverytotheownerthatisnotcausedbyafaultintheproductsmaterials or workmanship; damage from lightning or power surges; incorrect installation;damageduetoincorrectinstallation;noiseorotherinfluenceofripplecontrolorinformationaccess systems operated over power delivery infrastructure; water damage of any kind;

    installationoruseoutdoors;damagearisingfromconnectiontoorusewithalternativepowersystems(e.g.inverters,solar,etc.).

    2. Ceilingfansnotinstalledbyalicensedelectrician.3. Repair of a ceiling fan used incorrectly, accidentally damaged, modified in any way or not

    servicedinaccordancewiththemaintenanceinstructions.4. Travelling costs incurred by Aeratron personnel or service agents and/or the cost of

    transportingandinsuringtheceilingfanbetweenthenearestAeratronagents'servicedepotanditsnormallocation.

    5. Subject to any statutory provisions to the contrary, claims for damage to furniture, carpet,walls, ceilings, foundations or any other consequential loss either directly or indirectlyresultingfromafaultyceilingfan.

    6. Signalssentthroughthemainspowersupplybytheelectricitysupplierforoffpeakhotwater,and other signals including those for streetlights and such. These signals may cause anintermittenthummingintheceilingfan.Itisnotthefaultoftheceilingfan.

    7. Defectiveoperationoftheceilingfanisduetofailureofelectricityor;theinstallationisnotinaccordancewithAeratroninstructionsand/orapplicablelocalregulationsor;thedefectshavebeen caused by incorrect application or abuse of the ceiling fan or; the damage has beencausedbyunauthorisedpersonsattemptingtorepairthefan.

    8. Whenhumidityishighandtemperaturedropsmoisturecondensesonmetalsurfacesincludingceilingfans.Thelayerofmoisturecanbealmostmicroscopicbutitwillaffectthesurfacebydepositingatinylayerofdissolvedsaltsorairborneacidiccompoundsandthuseventuallyleadingtocorrosioniftheproductisnotproperlyandregularlycleaned.

    MakingaClaim YoumusthavetheoriginalpurchasereceiptorbillofsalealongwithaproofofinstallationbyaLicensedElectriciantomakeawarrantyclaim.Noclaimwillbeacceptedwithoutthesedocumentsbeingprovided.PleasecontactthelocalagentviathewarrantyHotline,weboremail.
