Applications are invited for the following posts for the
India-Based Neutrino
Observatory (INO) Project. The selected candidates for the posts
at sr.no. 2, 3 & 4will be posted at the INO Project sites
located near Madurai, Tamilnadu. However, they will berequired to
work for long periods of time at the Tata Institute of Fundamental
Research/BhabhaAtomic Research Centre, Mumbai. The selected
candidate for the post at sr.no. 1 will beposted at the Variable
Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata. However, she/he will be required
towork for long periods of time at the INO Project sites located
near Madurai, Tamilnadu.

PROJECT ENGINEER (C) [MECHANICAL] : OnePost ; Consolidated Pay :
Rs.41,500/-pm (including HRA of Rs.5,600/- and all other
allowances).
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or
equivalent with minimum 60%marks.
Experience: 1 2 years experience in design and fabrication of
large mechanicalstructures.
Job Requirement: The selected candidate is expected to study and
design variousmechanical elements and structures related to the
50kton electromagnet for the ICALdetector. Design, material
procurement, preparation of works contract and fabrication
oflaboratory infrastructure at Madurai and Mumbai will be the other
requirement. Workingknowledge in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and finite
element methods packages will be highlydesirable.
Age: Below 28 years.2.
PROJECT ENGINEER (C) [ELECTRICAL] : OnePost ; Consolidated Pay :
Rs.41,500/-pm (including HRA of Rs.5,600/- and all other
allowances).
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or
equivalent with minimum 60% marks.
Experience: 1 2 years experience in designing, fabricating large
electrical systems.
Job Requirement: The selected candidate is expected to study and
design various electricalelements and systems related to the 50kton
electromagnet, such as coil, its cooling systemetc. Design,
material procurement and fabrication of laboratory equipment at
Madurai andMumbai will be the other requirement. Knowledge on large
electromagnets, their coolingtechniques, field calculations and
measurement techniques will be desirable.
Age: Below 28 years.

.PROJECT SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (C) : TwoPosts ; Consolidated Pay :
Rs.41,500/- pm(including HRA of Rs.5,600/- and all other
allowances).
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/Instrumentation or
equivalent with minimum 60%marks.
Experience: 1 2 years experience in designing and debugging of
analog, digital and VLSIcircuits.
Job Requirement: The selected candidates are expected to study,
design and debug lownoise analog circuits, high speed digital and
VLSI systems. Experience in hardwaredescription languages,
designing using CPLD and FPGAs will be essential requirements.

PROJECT SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT (B) : OnePost ; Consolidated Pay :
Rs.26,000/- pm(including HRA of Rs.3600/- and all other
allowances).
Qualification: S.S.C./H.S.C. and Diploma in Civil Engineering or
equivalent with minimum60% marks. (ii) Knowledge of use of personal
computers and its applications.
Experience: 0-2 years experience in project execution work in
the field of civil structuresand related services. Should be well
conversant with quality control methods, planning andquantity
survey. Experience in Tunneling and computer use will be added
advantage.
Job Requirement: The selected candidate is expected to assist
the civil engineers inpreparation of design drawings, preparation
of specifications and tender documents etc.,besides field
supervision and reporting on various civil jobs.
Age: Below 28 years.

up to a total period of 3 years.
