ADVOCACYBoard members understand the value of education and invest in NOVA’s students and their professional development. This can include creating opportunities for internships, job shadowing, or mentorship.

EXPERIENCEBased on their professional expertise and industry knowledge, board members review a program and offer feedback, advice, and recommendations to ensure it remains relevant to today’s workforce.

COMMITMENTBoard members are asked to commit to the following: • Serve a three-year term (two terms, maximum)• Attend an annual board summit with other

business and community members• Attend at least one committee meeting per year

2. A reference from your supervisor (if relevant) indicating that you are able to speak on behalf of your company and its talent needs
