Advertising and Membership options explained

VisitStratforduponavon.co.uk offers x2 methods of promoting your business

through the website to millions of potential customers - Membership Packages and

Advertising. We offer a flexible range of membership packages and advertising

options suit a range of budgets.

Membership Explained:

By default, all shops, eating places and accommodation outlets are listed on the site

in their respective category, for free. This is called a Line Entry. This provides very basic

information about your company. In order to stand out and promote your business further,

and to have priority over Line Entries and searches results, we offer enhanced Two Star and

Three Star listings.

These provide significantly more information, photographs, locations and contact information

to promote your business. Membership also entitles you to significant savings off our

standard advertising rates. Packages are purchased on a twelve month basis. Membership

options and examples are explained in detail on page four.

Advertising Explained:

We offer a range of advertising options throughout the site to enhance your presence.

more accurately. Whilst our prices are extremely competitive, we offer generous discounts for

existing members.

Advertising can be purchased on a monthly, six monthly or twelve month basis. Advertising

Visit Stratford-upon-Avon Membership packages

Visit Stratford-upon-Avon has three main categories of the site that offer membership

packages. These are: Shopping, Eating and Accommodation. We offer three Membership

Packages to suit a range of budgets, and maximise your businesses’s exposure on the site.

These are explained in more detail below.

3 Star Entry

A full page listing that will enjoy priority in searches and listings, giving your business the

maximum impact, and will include the following details:

Your establishments name and contact details

Hyperlink or multiple links directly to your website or booking system

Your cuisine type and any awards, reviews, accreditation, etc

A full written description and promotion of your establishment (to a limit of to 500 words)

Up to 8 images of your property, dishes, etc and a choice of priority for the order they

appear

Actual or sample menus that you can update online

Details of opening times, prices (if applicable) and an optional online reservation form.

Google Maps displaying the location of your property, local attractions and directions to

for the user generated from their post code or street address directly on your page.

Details of any facilities your establishment offers

Substantial reductions off our advertising rates.

2 Star Entry

2 Star Entries on Visit Stratford-upon-Avon enjoy priority in searches and listings above line

entries. Listings include two images, a description of up to 100 words, a link to your website

and general contact details. Includes savings off our advertising rates.

Line Entry

A line entry, free to all members, includes only a name, address and telephone number.

Advertising Terms and ConditionsTerms:

Buyer: you, the purchaser of advertising / membership.

VSUA: us, the website operators.

If an Advertisement links to another website the Buyer is responsible for maintaining the link and for the content of the linked-to website. VSUA may remove any Advertisement which contains content or links to a website which, in VSUA’s discretion, is (or is likely to be) defamatory or objectionable or otherwise likely to bring VSUA into disrepute. The Buyer will indemnify VSUA from and against any claims or liability suffered or incurred by VSUA arising in any connection from links contained in an Advertisement.

If VSUA receives complaints about the content of an Advertisement it may, at its discretion, remove the Advertisement from display without reference or liability to the Buyer or Advertiser.

The advertiser assumes all liability for all content (including text, illustrations, graphics, trademarks or other copyrighted matter) of all material.

To maintain a quality standard throughout the site, VSUA reserves the right to reject advertising which it feels is not in keeping with the style of the web site.

The Client acknowledges that it is responsible for ensuring that Advertising Copy it submits for inclusion on the Website complies with all legal and regulatory requirements and does not contain any material which is objectionable including, without limit, information which is defamatory, obscene, threatening or untrue.

Advertisement rates are subject to revision at any time and the price prevailing at the time the Contract is made binds the Publisher only in respect of the agreed booking as confirmed by the insertion order.

It is the Advertiser’s responsibility to check the correctness of the Advertisement.

The Publisher reserves the right in its absolute discretion to cancel any Contract or to omit or suspend an Advertisement (for example if it is libelous, unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, socially unacceptable, insensitive or otherwise contrary to editorial policy).

All contents of Advertisements are subject to the Publisher’s approval.

The Advertiser warrants:

• that the advertisement is legal, decent, honest and truthful and that it complies with the British Codes of Advertising and Sales Promotion, with any relevant codes of practice and with all requirements of current legislation;

• that nothing in the advertisement is defamatory or constitutes a malicious falsehood;

• that the publication of the advertisement will not infringe copyright or any other rights vested in a third party; and

• that the Advertiser has secured all necessary authorities and consents in respect of the use in the advertisement of any pictorial representations or other representations of (or purporting to be of) living persons and of references to any words attributed to living persons.

• The Company reserves the right to refuse to publish any advertisement whether or not the advertisement has been accepted or previously published.

• The Company may require any alteration it considers necessary or desirable in an advertisement as a prior condition of its publication, whether or not such advertisement has been accepted or previously published.

• The Company will permit only standard abbreviations and no hyperlinks or metatags may be included in any advertisements save with the prior consent of the Company.

The Advertiser guarantees to VSUA that:

(i) any information supplied in connection with the Advertisement is accurate, complete, true and not misleading;

(ii) it has obtained the consent of any living person whose name or image (in whole or in part) is contained in any Advertisement;

(iii) the Advertisements are legal, decent, honest and truthful, are not contrary to the provisions of any applicable law, regulation or code of practice (including the British Code of Advertising, Sales

Promotion and Direct Marketing and all other codes under the general supervision of the Advertising Standards Authority – see www.asa.org.uk/asa/codes/cap_code are not libellous or obscene and do not infringe the rights of any person (including any person’s intellectual property rights);

(v) all Advertisements submitted for publication online will be free of any viruses and no Advertisement will cause an adverse effect on the operation of the Website(s).

14. VSUA cannot guarantee the number of impressions. In the event the number of impressions during the campaign period is less than the impressions booked by the Advertiser, VSUA shall continue to serve the Advertisements after the end of the campaign period until the number of booked impressions is reached.

10. Any images submitted for inclusion in your ad/entry/page must be cleared for publication and must not infringe any other person’s copyright.

12. We do not guarantee that you will receive any response to your adverts or that responses will be from individuals or companies suitable for the entry advertised.

The publication of an advertisement by the publisher does not constitute endorsement of the advertiser, its products or services.

The publisher reserves the right to increase advertisement rates at any time or to amend the terms and conditions at any time.

The publisher will not accept liability for any error on the part of third parties and/or inaccurate copy instructions.

Cancellations: Advertising booked may be cancelled without penalty if the cancellation is made with at least 10 working days written notice.
