Great Expectations6th american coatings show and conference

The leading North American coatings in-

dustry event goes into its next round: the

sixth American Coatings Show and Con-

ference will take place on April 9-12, 2018

at the Indiana Convention Center in Indi-

anapolis, Ind. While the three-day tech-

nical conference begins on April 9, the

show itself is scheduled for April 10-12.

T he ACS is the major North

American industry exhibition

and conference for the coat-

ings, paints, sealants, construction

chemicals and adhesives industry. It

is hosted by the American Coatings

Association (ACA) in collaboration with

Vincentz Network (VN).

“We are looking forward to breaking our

past record,” said Cheryl Matthews, vice

president of events & expositions at ACA.

“We have been so fortunate to have in-

creased participation at each event, and

we look forward to continuing that trend.”

Amanda Beyer, director of events at VN, is

very excited about the upcoming event:

“2018 marks the 6th anniversary of the

ACS,” she noted. “Since it was first held in

2008, the event has not failed to break its

own records, and will most certainly con-

tinue to gain more ground in 2018.”

More than 580 exhibitors are expected

at the show, offering attendees valuable

insight into industry’s innovative ad-

vancements. The conference will feature

over 100 technical papers and posters

from paint companies, raw material sup-

pliers, academia, and governmental

laboratories. The organizers are certain

that this will attract about 1,100 attend-

ees, turning the ACC into the largest

scientific gathering in the coatings world.

Two years ago, the show featured re-

cord-breaking numbers: 559 exhibitors,

130,000 net square feet of exhibition

space, and 9,100 attendees, while the

conference attracted 1,100 attendees.

Well on Course toward Success2018 show marks 10 years of american coatings show and conference

Welcome to the sixth American Coat-ings Show and Conference! The leading North American industry event is well on course to record-breaking numbers for show exhibitors and visitors. Organizers are proud to announce that the show floor in the Indiana Convention Center is completely sold out!

T he American Coatings Show and Conference takes place in India-napolis for the third time and is

hosted by the American Coatings Asso-ciation (ACA), in collaboration with Vin-centz Network (VN). Starting today at the show, industry is offering a complete portfolio of its products, ranging from

coating raw materials to laboratory, pro-duction and packaging equipment, and testing and measuring technology. “The 2018 show marks 10 years of the AC Show and Conference,” said Cheryl Matthews, ACA’s vice president of events and professional development. “As we celebrate this milestone, we are also re-cognizing 10 years of growth. Every show has brought new levels of success for the event, whether it’s expanding learning opportunities or offering com-panies more opportunities to showcase new products.”Amanda Beyer, head of events at VN, add-ed: “All signs are set toward success: With 558 exhibitors on 137,500 square feet, the

show floor is completely sold out. Pre-reg-istration numbers for visitors and confer-ence delegates are similarly running high, so that the ACS in its 10th year will certain-ly be the most successful yet.”Yesterday, the AC Conference was opened. More than 1,000 conference attendees have registered, at this writ-ing. This year’s program consists of nearly 100 selected presentations, clus-tered in 16 conference sessions.
