    Advertisement Analysis Project

    Directions:

    1. Attach your advertisement to the center of the construction paper. Answer thefollowing questions on your poster in the borders around the ad.

    2. Identify the context of the ad. Which magazine is this ad from? What is it anadvertisement for?

    3. Identify the purpose of the ad. To educate? Persuade? Sell? Scare?4. Identify the intended audience of the ad. Was this ad meant for teenage girls? Wealthy

    middle-class white men? Who?

    5. What is the tone of the ad? Silly? Emotional? Moral?6. Identify any loaded language, hyperbole, rhetorical questions, oxymoron, euphemisms,

    etc.

    7. Identify and explain any examples ofethos, pathos, and logos.8. When you are finished, you should have analyzed at least ten components of the

    advertisement!
